COD: MW2 or BC2?

Hi, I'm not sure which to get and why.

I am about to finish off Dead Space, which is a must play btw, but am wanting to line up which of these I should get and why.

I did play MW1, but not BC1, in case you ask.

I'm having fun with MW2(too much to buy another shooter right now), but there are tons who will vouch for Bad Company 2. I played it a little at midnight launch (bought The Show), but I wasn't really feeling it.

Did you like MW1? Modern Warfare is a faster paced shooter than Bad Company 2. The maps are smaller and there's a lot of use of the perk system and killstreaks from the first Modern Warfare. If you liked the perks and killstreaks you probably won't have a problem with them.

BC2 is has much larger maps and is more vehicle focused and class based. It really depends on your preference as both are great games. There are people here that will tell you they're tired of MW2, but that's only because they've played it pretty much everyday since release. When you play a game that much you're going to find stuff that makes you hate the game.

Sandman pretty much nailed it. Comparing the two games isnt really fair because they are totally different.

Personally I feel like MW2 has much more replay value, which is why I haven't picked up BC2 yet.

It's personal preference. I love MW2. I played the BC2 demo and thought it was kind of boring. Too slow paced for me. I like the fast paced shooters like Halo/COD.

I find that BC2 feels too much like MW2. The only real difference for me seems to be that 2 guys get to have fun and drive an APC.

The 24 players is what kills it for me. What part of the word "Battlefield" is not understood? 24 players is not a battlefield. That is one squad vs another squad...

I don't know. I think BF2 and the Project Reality mod have spoiled me when it comes to this franchise.

It's personal preference really. I hated MW2, to arcadey and the perks and killstreaks really ruin the game. Battlefield just has a better feel with the Frostbite engine, which is amazing, and it's a lot more fun in every way.

MW2 is a fast paced arcade style game. Anyone can pick the controller up and dominate because of the cheap perks and killstreaks.

BF2 is a more realistic, tactical style game. You can't just run around on your own and expect to rack up kills like MW2.

Both games are fun, it just depends on what style you like.

Pretty much.......it is like this......

MW2 - fast paced, instant satisfaction

BF2 - slow paced, you got to work for satisifaction, but is more long term

And for those who think 24 people isn't enough and want more, get Mag for the PS3.

I wasn't feeling MW2 becaue of the camping and perks. I feel like BF2 is a great representation of what a war game should be like, I love th wide open maps and the objective based missions, and there's nothing cheap in it. It's a really more enjoyable experience IMO

BF: BC2: NBA 2k??

MW imo is arcadish, run and gun (not saying it's a bad thing) but then again I haven't played any BF games.

LOL! I like MW2 and yes there is a lot more of the cheap tactics and crap, but I've gotten used to it. BF2 is gonna be your more true-to-life experience. So if that's what you're looking for, MW2 is not it

I have both and for me its not even close. BC2 is the best war game on the consoles ever.

I sold MW2 because it felt too "noobish". Felt like I was playing with a lot kids. For whatever reason, I enjoyed MW1 much more. Never tried bad company, I may pick up the first to see how it plays out.
