Re: Portal 2
Just finished it. All the voicework is great in this game, probably the funniest game I've played. Those saying that the puzzles get tougher in Chapter 7 on are right. There were quite a few where I was sitting there for 5-10 minutes trying to figure out where to go.
SpoilerGreat ending also. Definitely did not expect you being able to portal up to the moon.SpoilerMe neither. I just saw the moon there and figured "Well, what the hell?
Several of the late-game puzzles had me for quite a while, and the one where you're supposed to drop blue gel on the 3 turrets behind a wall (It might have been the last true puzzle level, in fact) truly got me. I should have known that was the solution because there were no other objects to use as weapons, but I still wasn't piecing together what the reverse EF was for. I don't feel totally awful for ruining that one with a walkthrough, though.
I wish they had more of the white gel puzzles - those were the ones that really get you thinking because have to consider most any surface as a possible portal wall. Maybe it's used more extensively in co-op?
Great game - will probably play through it again to listen to the developer commentary (do the console versions have that?)Comment

Re: Portal 2
If you have the PS3 version, the Steam platform is fully integrated (as you may already know), so you might be on the lookout for additional levels sooner vs. later. Valve says they will get additional content onto the 360 somehow, but they aren't sure exactly how yet.Comment

Re: Portal 2
Those commentaries are pretty informative. It seems like they definitely wanted to make the game more challenging (not that I found it too easy, except for the early levels), but they ran into trouble with their playtesters being unable to solve several of the puzzles. Unfortunate really, because it does seem like the game got dumbed down a little so a wider audience would be able to get through it.Comment

Re: Portal 2
They needed better play testers because the game was too easy.
So far, I've gone through the entire first part of co-op and about 1/4 of the second by myself. I guess I'll keep going until they both need to be moving at the same time.Comment

Re: Portal 2
Co-op steps up in the 4th area, but it was a shame that 1-3 was pretty much teaching people to play the game.Comment

I'm gonna call this NSFW language, even though it's bleeped. Still hilarious:

I agree with this statement. I found it to be a great game, but man was it too quick. I'm glad I rented as well.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
