Re: Portal 2
LOL I'm on Chapter 2, but I'd like to take my time doing it. The first game only had 19 levels (not chapters, levels lol) so I just hope this game will last me a long time.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Portal 2
Nah I only watched someone play it on a stream and it seemed rather easy so was wondering. He was having trouble in parts but the answer seemed pretty clear most of the time and he kept trying some other nonsense until he eventually figured it out.Comment

Re: Portal 2
Played it today, did not find it easy. Not too hard, not too easy; there were spots where I had to stop and think about how everything in a room fit together, and after some time would have an "a-ha!" moment where I figure it out.
SpoilerThere were one or two spots, primarily in the opening and between-chambers portions of the Cave Johnson parts, where I ended up just shooting portals at walls and hoping something stuck. A big reason, I think, is that the environments in these parts are simply massive (not cluttered and full, but everything is simply monumental in size to the point where I would stop and marvel every once in a while). For the most part, the game does a great job of providing hints in these sections as to the path with light cues.
The single-player game itself is brilliant. The dark humor sets this (and the original) apart from anything else I've played to this point. Hopefully I can team up with someone and get to the co-op soon.Comment

Re: Portal 2
Just finished it. All the voicework is great in this game, probably the funniest game I've played. Those saying that the puzzles get tougher in Chapter 7 on are right. There were quite a few where I was sitting there for 5-10 minutes trying to figure out where to go.
SpoilerGreat ending also. Definitely did not expect you being able to portal up to the moon.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Portal 2
I was really disappointed in the difficulty, at least in the single player, haven't been able to try any co-op yet.
Only problems I had was not knowing where I was supposed to goSpoilerwhen moving around the rubble in the old parts down belowSpoilerI had no idea where the last damn personality sphere came down
Other than those, I found everything pretty simple to solve and just walked through the entire game.Comment

Re: Portal 2
Even having not played the co-op missions, I think it's fantastic and well worth the price of admission on single-player alone. Go buy it first thing this morning.
To your other questions: challenging? It's challenging enough, but it's not going to present you with something supremely difficult; the difficulty does ramp up as the game continues. Fun? YES YES YES. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a game that's better written and also one that is so thoroughly designed. It is well-paced, well-balanced, and doesn't overstay it's welcome.Comment
