Man I am really trying to learn to play Rush or other modes besides TDM...

But I am lost in those modes....I am a crack head when it comes to TDM, it is incredible

Last night I rand 3 straight TDM and it was intense with our team pushing towards the other teams secluded hideout.

This game does so much good that it is hard to pick on the issues

If you look at the Letters, say a map that has A B C, the one assigned will have a different outline from the others. Like I said most people don't use it for some reason, even though it's free points.

I thought it was in the middle of my screen. Sometimes I'll have it right in centre no matter what --- it's really annoying and I've died before not being able to see enough of the real world. That may just be a glitch, but I thought it was when I am being 'ordered' to do something.

Game is fun, but MAN do they ever make you grind before you get guns you actually WANT! I snipe a lot of the time, but not with that opening rifle. I've played almost 3hrs online and haven't even unlocked the sv98 or whatever it is. I guess it's better if you prefer other classes, since the m16 seems good.

I didn't realize immediately that I NEED to play recon to unlock those real sniper rifles, so for a while I was trying to unlock new guns playing with better classes...I do like the power of the handguns though I have a few kills with them at close range.

Footballforever, if you're looking for a free-for-all type mode, there isn't one in Battlefield 3.

Yeah, those little icons that appear over teammates heads are a need for medpac or ammo. Makes it a LOT easier to effectively resupply your squad.

Footballforever, BF is all about the teamwork (aside from the SP campaign). The jobs/squad based system rewards teamwork; even in TDM you still get points for resupplying, spotting, etc. TDM is much faster-paced but still retains the teamwork ethos.

MW3 might be fun for you to check out next week for Free For All mode. Very fast-paced.

Personally, I prefer BF3, but I don't hate on MW games. I think there's audiences for both styles.

Whoever mentioned shotties to be a fun weapon wasn't kidding. Was playing a team deathmatch last night & set the pump action shotgun up & was just sprinting around putting holes in everything! I think I went 18-10 in one match, my best so far.

Found my new favorite weapon.

Support class, take the C4. Good for any situation. Got a camper sitting inside a building? Blow up his wall. Need to defend a flag? Plant some C4 before you leave for a nasty surprise.

And the all time best? Suicide runs against tanks. By far the most fun I have had yet in this game. Nothing better than blowing up the tank by yourself. APCs and jeeps are even better, can get some good multi-kills that way.

Can you set it, and then switch back to your gun and shoot it. Then switch back to your C4 and detonate when you like?

I've been laboring under the idea I should only C4 when I'm ready to blow something up right then and there.

I'm on an unprecedented losing streak in my history of the BF series. My W/L ratio is still positive but sinking fast. The past few nights doesn't matter what server but my team mates have been awful. Even last night running with one of my boys we kept losing. When players don't care about objectives, especially defending it is so frustrating. You run to one side of the map to disarm, then you hear the other one go off. You run to it and there's 4 enemies there and none of your team as they are all sitting back trying to get kills. They should really play a different game mode.

I care about W/L ratio more than any other stat.

You can plant it and blow it up right away, or switch back to your gun and blow it up later.

Just know that it takes multiple C4's to blow up some things, off the top of my head I think it takes three for tanks, but remember you can place all at once. Once you get the hang of sneaking up on tanks, it is on!

Read the manual. Start off with Team Deathmatch to get a feel for the maps, controls, and overall gameplay before you go in a objective game-mode.

It sucks when you are the only one at a MCOM; whether you're sitting there trying to defend it while everyone else gets kills some distance away, or you're the only one to go on the attack and have no help/back up.

When you quit a game, you get a loss, right? Deploy issue would account for about 11 of my losses.

Can you please explain the deploy issue? I can't figure out how to back out of a room when I'm done or want to switch to TDM or Conquest without quitting once match starts, or just going all the way out to my damn desktop.

I could literally play this game forever using only shotguns... that's how fun they are! There's no better feeling in this game then holding down a chokepoint or house with a shotty screaming "this is my house!"
