This game has gotten a lot harder now that there are so many silver eagles running around. I feel infinitely handicapped against them--I'm not sure if this is a real handicap or its merely affirmation bias. I can't devote eight hours a day to this game so I wish it wasn't so unbalanced. It also seems like the game does a completely *** job of matchmaking. I don't think I have played in a truly competitive round in a month. Either the other team is dominant or in less occasions my team is, but the teams are rarely evenly spread.

Another problem--since the new maps came out, I don't think I have played in a full game on any of the old maps. Apparently the new maps don't cycle like the normal maps, so you have to manually select a map each time? That's annoying, and it sucks that all the games now are like 10 v 8 or 8 v 6. And of course I always end up on the short-handed squad. Yay!

Does anyone know what the assignments are? I see them pop up after a match is over but it doesn't seem like I can access them anywhere in game. Then on battlelog it just says "coming soon," which does not make sense since they are already out.

Thanks for clearing that up, Mike.

So, do the RU lose spawn points if the US holds the flags, just like regular Conquest? In other words, the RU can only spawn on RU-held flags and squad mates, yes? Sounds like it will be wild...especially on those big new maps.

Assignments can be located in my soldier on the main menu. It's assignments given to you to complete to unlock the new weapons.

It works like the current conquest. Americans win by gathering up most of the flags and draining the russian reinforcements. Of course, your team can capture them all if they can to basically end the game shorty after considering the russians have no home base to spawn at. Unless the last man standing is sitting on the far corner of the map hiding.

Glad to hear the new maps are great. And that Conquest Assault is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Can't wait to play them next week.

The new maps are a little overwhelming for me, right now..

I've played Gulf and now Wake..

I'm still getting the feel for them, but it would be nice to give it a go with some OSers.

You're telling me man. These damn things are super overwhelming. Just imagine how those of us feel who are far less experienced. I don't know my left from my right. lol

I think you just have to change your settings. In the browsing options, you can choose what maps you want. When I checked today, I guess by default, all the new maps were checked. None of the old ones were.

Nice going!

I don't care for scopes on my M249, but I do have the red-dot sight on it. I just don't care for magnification because it gets too weird in a quick encounter firefight for me.

I play support 90% of the time, but I must continue to work on assault class so I can unlock the grenade launcher, which I want badly for smoke grenades as Mike's got me all stoked for those.

How long to unlock smoke grenades on I get launcher, or does it comes with them?

Dan, 10 kills for SG ammo and 20 kills to get the smoke grenades.

P.S. I really need to get back on soon. I miss squading up with you guys.

Thanks 65. Guess I'll have to become a noob-tuber for awhile to get the smoke...once I get the launcher in the first place anyway.

I need to learn how to properly play Rush/Squad Rush.

Just started back playing this and the only thing is no one has mics. I know its not required but I enjoy having conversations from time to time because I get bored. I even enjoy Internet Beefing every now and then

I love this game, but I just don't understand why I am so terrible at it. I die alot and feel like when my side wins it's in spite of me, which is a rough feeling.I lose the majority of my one on one firefights and my accuracy is wretched.

Just started back playing this and the only thing is no one has mics.

"BF3 ESP" gets unlocked at level 15.

Don't need no stinking mics...just THINK it and it happens!

FAMAS iron sights are terrible. Also, every new gun comes with ballistic scope unlocked... Lol I'm gonna assume that's a bug.
