Just picked up GTA III from the PS3 marketplace and plan on playing through that one again this week.

I already have San Andreas on Xbox 360 so all that is left is Vice City. Hopefully, it comes to one of the consoles soon. I'm not trying to play such a sacred game on a cell phone.

It could have been the BF3 thread too. I don't remember how many it had pre-release, though.

That game has been out a little over a year and has over 11,000 posts, I know I've got over 1000 in that thread.

Holy schnikes. I was away at school and drove an hour home for the midnight release in my hometown because the Gamestop by campus wasn't having a midnight release. I was a freshman in college... I honestly (much like you) did not realize Vice City was that long ago... yikes.

i hope franklin gives in and returns to his roots in gangs, they already had niko try to escape his criminal past, i dont want to see it in back to back games.

I rather they dont. They already gave us the gang centric game in SA. I dont need Rockstar's other black protagonist marinating in gang life the way CJ was. We got that already.

i dont see it being a big part of the game, just the occasional mission, which would be better than a repeat character from the previous game.its all about the money, so it wont be about gang culture, just franklins struggles between a better life and his friends who are still in the gang life.i dont care about trevor, every gta player IS trevor, thats where they even got the idea for him so i dont see anything new in him, franklin seems more promising.

My 17 year old cousin stayed at my place over Thanksgiving, he brought the Game Informer with GTA V in it...we stayed up til 3 playing games and talking about GTA. I felt like a kid again (I'm 28) and keep getting more excited for this game...I'm not sure I've ever been this hyped for a game before...
