Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Then bought it for ps4 and have found it very much worth it. Especially at the time of release, but still so now.
And I'm just waiting for a steam sale to grab it on pc. To each their own man....I find the entertainment value in this game very much worth it.Comment

People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I'm still in the process in making another PC for the living room. I want to hook that up to my 55.
Anyway for now I'm happy gaming on my 120hz 1080p monitor. Until I get one of those 1440 gsync monitors. 😁
I look forward to this Tuesday.... I want to see if my 780 can run GTA on high and I also got MKX on the PC.
I'm going to transfer my account from PS3. Whoever wants to run heist friend me on Steam.Comment

I'm reading you need to get past the prologue before getting excited about how good the performance is.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
That's your opinion and I am not taking that away from how u feel. I myself noticed a slight difference but its not big enough for me to want to purchase it again. Like I said the only reason why I have it on the PS4 despite already owning it on the PS3 is because it was included in the ps4 bundle I bought that came with the Last Of Us which I too already owned on the PS3. Only difference was the Last Of Us had all the DLC like Left Behind which I haven't played yet.Last edited by UWfan206; 04-14-2015, 09:52 AM.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Whew! Finally installing.
Random story of my install perils...
Spoiler
Realized last night my 128gb SSD just wouldn't do unless I installed a lot more than I'd want to. So I overnighted a 250gb SSD. Got my discs and ssd around 3 today. Went to set up at 5 and realized I had no spare SATA 3 cable. I tried my external USB thing because it's at least USB 3.0. The SSD wasn't recognized even with some random Samsung software it came with. I then remembered my old PC had SATA (I thought it was ribbon cables). So I jacked one from there. Installed it all. Booted. No SSD in the bios. Opened it back up. Power cable to new SSD was loose -_-
Installing discs now. Apparently my mobo only came with 2 sata cables. Have five SATA 3 on the way though!

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Apparently the GTA Launcher will continue to run in the background and suck up a lot of CPU power. People on Reddit are suggesting to run a batch file to kill that process. Extrememly helpful for those with dual core CPUs, but if this process is using 20% of resources it sounds like everyone should do it.
For Social Club installs
"C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\PlayGTAV.exe"
timeout 60
taskkill /F /IM gtavlauncher.exe
wmic process where name="GTA5.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority"
For Steam
start steam://rungameid/271590
timeout 60
taskkill /F /IM gtavlauncher.exe
wmic process where name="GTAV.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority"Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 04-15-2015, 03:42 PM.Comment
