Apparently the GTA Launcher will continue to run in the background and suck up a lot of CPU power. People on Reddit are suggesting to run a batch file to kill that process. Extrememly helpful for those with dual core CPUs, but if this process is using 20% of resources it sounds like everyone should do it.


For Social Club installs

Someone said that it needs to be GTA5.exe and not GTAV.exe for this version. You can check yourself in the task manager. I haven't been able to yet

I just started playing online last week and im currently on level 10. Just had the worse experience ever in my history of online gaming today. I couldn't find any matches for any game modes so I was just free roaming for at least 45 minutes but I wasn't going to give up and u can say I was super determined to find a match and kept dialing quick jobs and deathmatch until I finally got in a game. This is where the crappy experience begins...

I finally got into deathmatch. At the start we were only given golf clubs in a fenced environment to kill one another and it was fine with me at first but then out of nowhere 2 players had guns and started shooting everyone from the other side of the fence. It wasn't fair and to be honest it was frustrating because they were the only ones with guns. They ended up with 50-60 kills each in a 10 minute match. The whole time playing I was trying to jump over the fence because I see that's where all the guns were but there was no way any of us could get over the fence besides those two guys. After that match it killed my vibe and I just turned off my ps4.

You know I'm up for it! Still playing daily to get my objectives and mess with randoms for a little bit.

Today I had to collect a bounty, do a team deathmatch and fall a distance and survive. The fall was simple so I did that first, then hit the quick job on the phone for the TDM...while waiting for that to launch I drove around trying to catch up to two guys with bounties only to chase one into his apartment and another got killed right in front of me as I approached. Got into the DM and it took forever but I got $25k out of it. I spawned in a world of randoms with little time before I needed to head off to work but noticed there was a guy in a store just around the corner. I decided to drive to him and call Lester at the same time but could not find him on the bounty list...then, lucky for me, two guys pulled up on a motorcycle. I hit one with a bounty but had a pistol selected as my weapon so they got on the bike and took off. I gave a short chase before one bailed but left the bounty driving, he tried to turn around to go back to his partner but got slowed by a tree and a wall, allowing me to toss and activate a sticky for the bounty and $25k for completing objectives...then I made the casual stroll back to my apartment feeling like a badass.

Just checked, it's using no CPU and only 42MB of memory. Mind you I have an 8 core CPU.
