I never have time to play anything on my 360 (work, kid, etc.), let alone a 10 year old game. I would be able to find time to play it on my tablet.

I will be making time to play GTA V on my 360, however...

Yep. It is. And I recommend you do.

Although the voice acting is kinda...aged, it's still a great, great game.

Aren't they re-releasing Vice City on PS Network & XBL Arcade or something sometime soon?

Why can't they make it an HD remake?

That would be amazing, I'd pay full game price for an HD remake of that game.

Idk about you guys, but I'm fighting my urge and staying away from any and all GTA games. This way when V drops I will feel like a 6 year old on Christmas morning, and will be fresh and not burn out of the open world

San Andreas is due out this week as a PS2 Classic on the Playstation Store.

                      SOURCE

Rockstar, slowly but surely building up towards V, with Vice City for iOS recently as well. I imagine we'll see the Vice City PS2 Classic pretty soon here as well.

I never did finish San Andreas. I remember there was a lot of stuff I hated about that game.

Not that I need this to be an HD remake, but is there a 16:9 option for this game at least?

I'm about 99% sure that there will be a widescreen option. I remember wondering the same thing about the GTA3 PS2 Classic, and saw a youtube video where the user went into the settings menu and switched it to 16:9.

                          Edit:

At 3:51 in this video (though the widescreen gets cut off on youtube):

I assume SA will be the same.

Yay! Awesome. As a plasma owner, that makes my decision much easier.

I still have my PS2 and GTA San Andreas, but I lost my memory card with my files. I didn't actually lose it, but it got switched with my college roommate's memory card about four or five years ago, and he sold all of his PS2 stuff. I want my Power Pros franchise back too! Haha.

I'll probably be buying this, and let it tide me over until GTA V. Somebody said they want to avoid anything GTA-related. I disagree; I'd rather play something that's extremely outdated, which would in turn make this one feel like a true breath of fresh air. That's what I used to do for baseball video games: play Interplay Sports Baseball 2000 on PSX for a couple of weeks before a game's release, then buy whatever new game it is that I got. It feels great!

It's amazing to me how Rockstar never released proper xbla/psn versions of GTA3, Vice City, and San Andreas all gen. San Andreas is on XBLA, but it's just an original xbox emulated version, complete with emulation bugs and a non working custom soundtrack feature. They're even celebrating the 10th anniversaries of the games in their biggest franchise, which were huge icons to console gaming, with touch screen mobile versions.
