I wasn't keen on GTAIV, but this, wow!

I don't play too many non-sports titles anymore, and after IV, felt like maybe the GTA formula was completely stale. The quality of gameplay for me didn't match the technical achievement and detail of the world. I didn't find it fun. In general I suppose I'm a jaded gamer.

V, then, is a stunning refinement of the series' mechanics. Missions are so much more interesting, and the level of additional activities and customization makes every moment terribly addictive. It's just fun, and I don't get that out of many games anymore. Even the parody and tropes are refined to a point where I find them more intelligent and amusing.

I didn't call in sick yesterday, but I actually did today. Haven't ever done that with a game, but I just had to play more.

There are niggles for sure, but I for one am floored at what R* have coaxed out of this old hardware. Just a masterclass in open world game design.

I couldn't find the stock that our friend referred to, but life invader stock tanked hard

i bought a $1000 worth of life invader after the incident since it was down. I thought if this game is anything like real life then Facebook couldn't be down for long. And if I am wrong then it's just a grand. Though I am really looking forward to figuring out if we can really affect a stick positively in free roam.

So I'm guessing safe house isn't really a safe house anymore?

I had only a 1* wanted level. Walked into my "safe house" and the cops walked in a few minutes later and busted me.

I mean, I've laughed at games before, but I never, just straight up burst out in laughter.

Maybe the helped, but I was cracking up so bad, I thought it was from lack of sleep.

Finally got my copy last night and played for about 4 hours. Did the first 3-4 missions then just messed around the rest of the time.
Wow....Just WOW.
This game is something else. The hype was definitely warranted for this game. Absolutely beautiful.
Counting down the hours till i go home tonight to play.

Glad to see I'm not the only person who is downright TERRIBLE at driving in this game.

I find it to be easy and just like GTAIV. The key is realizing you don't just spam the gas (especially when turning the steering wheel) the entire time and let the car coast when it's appropriate. Use your brakes when you have to and don't jerk the steering too fast or you end up overcorrecting.

I stole a Prius at on the boardwalk. I was pleased to discover it stays virtually silent under a certain speed. I'll be looking to re-create this scene later:

I saw some people down on the soundtrack, but I was driving around with Franklin and "Do It ('Til Your Satisfied)" came on and at that point I knew that this soundtrack could do no wrong in my eyes. That's one of my favorite songs of all time.

I actually haven't been flipping the stations at all, I'm just rolling with the station in whatever car I hop in. I've pretty much liked every song that I've heard so far. The song with Micheal by the pool was on point, as well. Good stuff.

I personally love the soundtrack. The ones I've found myself listening to the most are Blue Ark, Vinewood Boulevard, and Los Santos Rock Radio.
