No problem, man. Just shoot me a message if I'm not still on and I'll jump back in. Staying on for now but might run to the store at some point.

Had that one a few weeks ago but mine was 150 feet. I just took the helicopter from the Paliteo Bay Sheriff Office and jumped from the copter.

Today is my 500k payout day and I've already completed 2/3 of my objectives. All that I have left to do is a one on one deathmatch. If anyone wants to jump on for two minutes and run it with me, I would greatly appreciate it.

                Re: Grand Theft Auto V

The hype is real. That and the fact that it looks like Rockstar has spent the last year and half putting a ton of effort to properly port this to PC means I may just mess around and grab this game.

Why GTA V PC is the definitive version of Rockstar's epic

Grand Theft Auto 5 feels like it's worth the wait. I played the PC version for the first time recently, and although 17 months is hell of a long time, this absolutely plays like the ultimate version of the open-world sequel that Rockstar first released on consoles in 2013.

There's no doubt some skepticism based on some past ports of Rockstar games, like GTA 4, and the ongoing, slightly heartbreaking absence of Red Dead Redemption on PC might make you wonder how much the publisher values the platform next to consoles. Max Payne 3 was a vast improvement, though, and I see no reason to be concerned with GTA 5 either—this port looks incredible and I swore a hell of a lot (in a good way) at the gorgeous skylines during my hands-on. This is a handsome game.

Having mostly skipped the next-gen console editions while waiting for the PC release, the PC version of GTA 5 looks like an entirely new game to me. First of all, 60fps makes a hell of a difference. You can’t get this in any of the console versions, so on that level alone makes GTA 5 PC the superior version. Seeing this extraordinary environment run so smoothly while you’re driving through it is a treat.
GTA V PC graphics options in full

We've played GTA 5 running at 4k resolution at 60fps, and it's glorious. You'll need a mega-rig to get that smooth performance at such a high resolution, but at 1080p, it ought to be easier, especially considering the number of graphics options you can tweak to keep framerates smooth. It's nice to see motion blur and depth of field options in there, and for anyone that really wants to push, there are advanced options for distance scaling, anti-aliased reflections and advanced soft shadowing.

I don't even own a PC anymore, let alone one capable of running that game and being able to push it to the limit and I doubt anybody else does unless they are a PC gamer. It looks great, sure, but I'm so blown away with the PS4 version that in no way would I ever triple dip.

The mods are the only reason to get any console game on PC anyway. You can't transfer your online character and the online world in itself will be a ghost town in comparison.

I've told myself i wouldn't triple dip... But if/when the right Steam sale comes around, I'll almost definitely grab it again for PC. I won't be running max settings but it's still going to look damn good. Also I'm fairly certain the community will be large enough to not be a ghost town.

GTA IV sold 25 million copies, only 850k of which were PC copies. GTA V has been out for a year and a half and has sold a total of 34 million copies already. Also, it costs $2500+ to build/buy a PC powerful enough to push this game to the limit and I'd say less than 1% of households have a PC that can do it.

So yeah, that's how I figure.

My PC was like 600-800 and I'll be able to play 1080p with just about everything, if not everything turned up.

Yea...nowhere near 2,500$ to run this maxed. Regardless there will be plenty of people who will be playing online. I can't see there being any problems getting on at anytime and finding full rooms.

And the specs needed to run GTA V adequately, as in just as good if not better than ps4/x1 I'd say are very common in the current PC gaming community.

GTA V on PC can run at 4k though. That's what I was referring to. Not getting a 4k rig for 600 bucks.

Okay, I still feel like I'm not getting it here. I'm not familiar with GTA multiplayer, how many people are allowed on a map? Is there a cap and if so, what is it? Some projections have GTA V PC selling near or over 1 million copies before launch. Unless the multiplayer is supposed to consist of thousands or even hundreds of players in a single map, I have a hard time believing it'd be a ghost town, even in comparison. More maps may be created on average on the consoles obviously but it seems like it should be relative. I might need you to help clear that up for me, as I said I'm not too familiar with the multiplayer and how it works.

It may cost 2500 to play GTA V at 4k@60fps but to max or near max it out at lower resolutions like 1080p is something a lot more than 1% of the pc gamer base will be able to do. I'll be playing at 1080, maybe 1440p with a three year old $299 card and I'm fairly certain it will still look better than anything the consoles could do. That said, I'm not even sure how maxing the game out factors into multiplayer being a ghost town. It seems like you're saying that because less than "1%" of pc gamers can max it out at 4K, the other 99% won't go online.
