Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
There is also a bonfire and a gate that you can open right underneath the dragon. Either opening the gate or starting the bonfire will trigger the dragon to fly off I believe.
SpoilerGo up the stairs in the middle of the bridge and quickly get to a safe spot right up against the wall on either the left side or the right side, but closest to the dragon. His fire will not be able to reach you. Then when he comes and lands in the middle, you can book it between his legs and I was able to make it to the other side, light the bonfire and open that gate that connects you to the area right before that steel bull thing.
Also,Spoilerthere is a gate you can open opposite the lady merchant in the tower with the lone archer near the sewer entrance, that connects you back to the main hub place.
Unless you are talking about the Lower undead burg and not the sewers.Last edited by CC; 10-07-2011, 09:50 AM.Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
Man, I am finding this game a lot tougher than Demons Souls. I think I have already died more times in 3 hours than I did in all of Demons Souls. In Demons, while very challenging, if you advanced slowly and fought enemies one at a time by luring them out, you could do alright. Aside from bosses, there weren't that many really powerful enemies that were out of your league early on.
But in Dark Souls it seems like around every corner there is an enemy I am just not powerful enough to fight yet. They kill me in two hits and when I hit them I barely give them a scratch! This is f'ing intense!!
I am running for my life! lolComment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
What is funny is that I now run through the start of the undead burg like rambo and I'm only a level 20 with a Drake sword...lol.
I love games like this so much..they are rare. Basically you just play so much and improve your character so much that you get the timing and when you come back to the tough stuff later on, it is usually not as hard.Comment

Spoilerreverse hollowing and become human before this fight. Then you want to summon the knight who gives you the summoning marker to come help you. you will see a marker laid down for you before you walk through the light.Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I took out the Capra demon and then went underground. I am wondering if I need better weapons besides just the drake to beat the dragon down there. I can't get him since I don't have a real long distance shot. Not sure what I need to upgrade or spend to take him out.
I got the powerful bow in the same area, but I am not able to hit him..it is like you can't lock onto him or something.
Already got cursed once so I may return to the asylum to get more anti venom..but I am not sure if I can take on the dark knight yet or not.Comment

SpoilerStay to the side of him and never be directly in front of his mouth. Keep your shield up to block his tail whip, back away when he goes in the air, and hack away. Piece of cake.
Kind of stuck at the moment even though I've made a lot of progress in these first four days. SL 30 and I am to the point where it's really getting tough. Think I am a bit under-leveled. I lost 17k souls once and 11k another time for being an idiot.
My path so far.
SpoilerTaurus>Undead Dragon>Gargoyles>Lightning dude with one leg>All Black Knights come across>Capra>Butterfly in forest>Gaping Dragon>Hyrdra.
Tough paths everywhere now. And I wasted 20k souls to open up that forest door. Bad idea
.

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
SpoilerI suggest grinding out 20k souls so you can buy the key to the forest door from Andre . You can grind out about 15k souls every 3-4 mins fighting the eniemies there."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment
