Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I took a break from the game due to MW3 and when I came back I was out of practice and Im horrible..lol. Anyway, I could not beat the boss in blighttown, and I may need to farm my character out and get him better..who knows. But I ended up in the great hollow and got cursed..which sucks..not sure really what to do so I stopped playing again for a bit.Well at least the giant blacksmith sells twinkling titanite. It was a pain trying to find a place to farm that.
BTW anyone go through the "secret" areas?SpoilerThe Great Hollow and Ash Lake. Lots of crystal lizards on the way down (a PITA to get them though) and the dragon covenant at the end of the lake. Oh there's aGODDAMN HYDRA down there two. A FLYING HYDRA. A. FLYING. HYDRA.Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I'm probably going to get into my NG+ sometime this weekend. I'm a little burnt out on Skyrim right now.
I was breezing through it last time I played @ Level 75 and didn't die until I got to the Capra with the dogs, who then proceeded to one-hit kill me.
That was where I stopped a few weeks ago.Comment

Head back to where you rang the first bell in undead burg and talk to that npc. He sells purging stones to remove curse.I took a break from the game due to MW3 and when I came back I was out of practice and Im horrible..lol. Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
DLC! Awesome, I am totally buying.
From Software’s 2011 release Dark Souls was a hit with countless fans around the world—fans who soon will be able to extend the adventure via upcoming DLC.
A source close to the project has told EGM that some form of expanded content is in the process of being finished up for Dark Souls, and will be released as DLC at some point in the first quarter of this year.Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
Don't even try. You want to go to other areas..those skeletons are overpowered, especially early in.
This game is so freaking sweet. I am still stuck on the spider boss in blighttown. I think I need to get my guy a little stronger or something. And also farm for more purple plants..they go fast in blighttown.
this is a very advanced game, but that is what makes it so rewarding.Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
Take the path that goes up. The two that lead down to the catacombs and new londo are way tougher and shouldn't even be unlocked but it's an open world so they are. When you have branching paths, the enemy at the top is easier than the one at the bottom 90% of the time in this game.
If you want though, you can try a suicide run through the graveyard for some decent goodies for early on in the game. If you are fast enough and know where you are going you might be able to make it back to the bonfire alive. Otherwise, like I said it is a suicide mission. But just jump off of a cliff and don't go deep into the catacombs looking for a bonfire, because chances are you won't be able to get out at your level.Last edited by CC; 01-18-2012, 01:34 PM.Comment
