Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
All I could find was that it'd be releasing in NA/EU "soon". I didn't see it was just for the 'Japanese Version' right now.
Could still be a week or two. Due to the fact that it's a japanese patch, it'll probably take a little longer for the 360 to get patched than the PS3.Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I need some help. I have hit a wall. I killed the moonlight butterfly and made my Claymore +5 into a blessed claymore. I was on my way between the depths bonfire and gaping dragon when I got cursed and had to go allll the way back. Now it seems like my blessed claymore doesn't help with the londo ruins, the depths or blight town (effing mosquito). I am back to dying every three minutes (specially in blight town) and it's not fun. Any suggestions for me? Do I need a new weapon, if so which one?
ThanksDON'T PANICComment

Blessed weapons are for fighting skeletons. Other then that they are kinda worthless.I need some help. I have hit a wall. If you have high faith stat to cast miracles divine weapons are useful as they scale with that stat.
Currently I'm rocking with a +5 Magic morningstar, as its fast to attack and my int attribute is high (30 at the moment) and the lightning spear.
I haven't gotten the embers yet to ascend anything other than divine and magic. Just got the dark ember so I can ascend to whatever that path leads to. Not at home so I can't check the wikis. I'm assuming its Occult.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I'd probably stay in the depths. Blighttown isn't that much more difficult but i think the natural progression route is Depths>Blighttown because they are connected.
I would not recommend going to New Londo until you have at least rung the second bell. I'm over 70 hours in and still haven't completed it. It's probably the second or third toughest/most annoying level in the game (the only one I haven't been to yet is the very last one).
You can probably handle the Catacombs if you have a divine weapon because the boss is a piece of cake, but I'd wait on that until you can warp bonfires because you'll likely have to backtrack all the way out after you're done.
Amd for reference, I used the Drake Sword until about Sen's fortress and it was fine.Last edited by CC; 11-03-2011, 10:16 PM.Comment

I love(Hate) how you get to firelink and can immediately access New Londo, not giving you and indication that you'll get your *** handed to you immediatelyHELLO BROOKYLN.

Does a fast weapon make a difference? The Claymore is rather slow, but the thrust move can be deadly. If you have high faith stat to cast miracles divine weapons are useful as they scale with that stat.

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I'm not very far into the game (just beat that stupid Knight in Undead Burg) but I love it so far. For whatever reason, I'm much more into this game than I was for Demon's Souls.
It's been a rough week of trying to balance new games. UC3, Dark Souls and BF3 are all new pickups this week, for me. Overwhelmed.PSN - RedSea_RouchComment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
The most effective sword, I thought, was the Gravelord Curved Sword that you get for joining Nito's covenant... I leveled it to +4 and it is awesome, even better that the Fury Sword.... And in PVP it gives a 99% Toxic Effect when you connect with a Two-Hand ThrustComment
