7.0???? Was not expecting that. I wonder will this game have any staying power?? For some reason I don't think this game will have the online community months down the road.

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
From the impressions here that is what I would have thought it was. Reviewers usually take big points off for graphics and length of campaign. I am sure this community won't be as strong as COD or KZ3. I would bet it would be in the ballpark of Bad Company 2. Which still isn't too bad.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
And let's be honest, how many OS gamers really play games for months at a time, so not sure why you're worried about that.
I know I'll be playing it as my only FPS still Battlefield 3, I played Bad Company 2 from last March till November when COD hit. I played COD up till a few weeks ago. I usually have one FPS at a time with my buddies and we play pretty much every weekend.
There's a bunch of DLC maps coming to 360 (and at a later date to PS3), so there's going to be a lot of support from THQ.Comment

With all the shooters on the market now, a five hour campaign just doesn't cut it for me anymore... too bad too, because I had been looking forward to this one.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
EG I will be picking this up for the MP. SP is what I guess 4-6 hour?? For 60 bones that's not worth it for any game that I buy. That's why I had a concern about staying power. But I do understand that finding people to play with months after release can at times be hard. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

I don't even play SP mode in most shooters. MP is where all the fun is.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
IGN knocked Homefront for a short campaign and poor graphics. But read further and see the reviewer said he liked the campaign.
I am still on the fence about this because I have Crysis 2 coming next week and just got Dragon Age II last week. However, if you plan on dropping some time into multiplayer or outright only want the game for its multiplayer, then I think you'll be satisfied. I know I can't wait to play some more rounds today on my roommate's PS3 while he's at work.Lux y VeritasComment

I don't get that though, you're buying it for multiplayer, but since single player is 4-6 hours then it's not worth the money.Comment

yeah I got FNC but it was mainly for online. For me I feel the MP has to be there in order for a game to be worth 60 if the SP is really short. Others feel different I'm sureThe poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
Just had to chime in real quick, and say this game is CRACK!!!!! I haven't started the sp yet (jumped right into mp) because the mp is so damn addicting.
I'm not exactly sure what the complaints are against the graphics,as I feel they are on par with BC2,and a step above BLOPS,so I'm more than happy with that....besides, it's the gameplay that should matter...and the mp is just plain out FUN!
The maps are really nice sized,no "shoe box" size here, more along the lines of BC,but the one thing that really stands out is the hit detection....it's actually very good, not once did I feel cheated.
What does bother me however (but I guess it's kinda cool) is you can only have one attachment on at a time. So for instance...if you want to use the suppressor, you can't use a scope of any kind (unless I missed something somewhere) and vice versa.
It's really hard to put into words how this game feels (between blops & BC)...the best word I can use is fun.
I do like when spawning you get a view of where dudes are at,now while that may sound a little weird,it actually works out to be quite nice....as camping is basically non-existent. Thats not to say getting the kills are easy,or they'll still be in that general area...but you do get an idea of where guys are ATTEMPTING to camp.
I can safely say I will be rolling with this until BF3,and probably beyond...it's that damn fun.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I'm surprised people get shooters for their SP. The only thing I ever care about when it comes to shooters now is MP. If it's good...I'll buy it. SP is just the icing now...and MOH was the only shooter in the last couple years I can remember had anything redeeming about it. Ironically, SP was the best part of MoH. The SP died.
But still...just can't believe people buy FPS for SP these days, to be honest.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
Agreed. I am pretty sure that most, if not everyone rated Black Ops highly, yet I was not that impressed with the game. The good thing with this game is that I think people had a pretty good idea of what they were getting before they got the game, so you probably won't find many people dissapointed, unless they got the game solely for SP.Comment

With FPS games these days I look at the multiplayer first and if there is a good campaign with some good achievements, then I look at that as a bonus. It normally takes me a few months before I dive into the COD campaigns for example.
