Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I am watching my roommate play this on his PS3 right now. One thing I'll say up front, if you're a graphics whore, you won't like this game. Not the best-looking thing I've seen. However, it looks fun as ****, and even though I have Crysis 2 coming to me next week I may be tempted to get this game as well.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I have heard that the graphics are not as good as some are used to, but judging from some of the video's I have seen I do not think that it looks that bad. I will say that I am willing to give up some graphics for solid gameplay. This looks like it will be one of the games that hold me over, at least for an FPS, until BF3 comes out and we can have both graphics and solid gameplay.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
Put in about 5 matches of TDM. The game plays great, it's slower paced, closer to MAG movement speed I would say, the hit detection is right on in my experiences so far. The first smg is good at close to medium range but good luck trying to get a kill at a descent distance with it cause you either going to have to be good with it or lucky, the AR will beast the smg at distance from what I've seen and felt. The maps are large and awesome, lther building are alway open to explore or get a position and get a few kills. Lots of roof tops for snipers to lay prone on but there is a kill cam so you know where to look for em. The BP is just sick as all can be, being able to snag a flak jacket get a few kills and then bust out the tank drone, or bring in a hellfire missile strike is just too cool. Just a little more and I'll unlock the BC portion for the game modes. If you're on the fence and want a shooter that's not COD or BC2 this is the game for you.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Graphics aren't the greatest in MP, but they aren't the worst I've seen so far. I am having a blast so far, though. The BP system is perfectly executed. More to follow.Go Cavs, Go Browns, Go Tribe! Cleveland Rocks!

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
I think I'mma get this tomorrow! I think I'll get more value out of this online then I would Fight Night Champion? I still have that game in shrink wrap in my gamestop bag.. I'm a big proponent of online gaming and it sounds like online is where this game shines. I'm just trying to get into Killzone 3 now but its not really filling the FPS craving I have since I'm pretty much done with COD and Treyarch's lack of addressing the hit detection issue.Comment

Re: Homefront (360/PS3)
3 modes total, TDM I'm not 100% sure how many kills you need but the points to win seem to be about 12000. There's Ground Control which is basically hold 3 objectives, and then there's Skirmish (I think that's what it's called) and it's a mixture of TDM and GC. You can play them straight up or once you unlock the Battle Commander part at level 7 you can play the games with the Battle Commander which give the team objectives or targets to kill on the other team.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. IGN Review is up/7.0
CLOSING COMMENTS
I liked Homefront a lot, and yet I acknowledge that the aspects of the game I like the most aren’t the most important in determining whether the game is great or not. Homefront is certainly one of the most unique shooters I’ve ever played, driven by an ingenious and surprisingly well-fleshed out plot and a dark and dreary, realistic setting. But it also controls and feels like a typical shooter, looks like a game that’s several years old, and most importantly, has an inexcusably brief campaign. Multiplayer is Homefront’s redeeming quality, and those gamers out there who are like me and swoon for alternate/future history settings should certainly look into it. However, if what you’re seeking is an upper-echelon shooter, keep looking, because Homefront isn’t what you’re searching for.
