        Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Edited my post just in case. FYI, it didn't contain anything related to the main-quest nor was there a side-quest. That was simply me wandering around.

Still, I understand how others may want to find some of these things on their own and may consider what I posted a spoiler. So, I apologize.

Number 23 in line, out of about 60. The strategy guide is huge.

for whatever reason I think if I go to a store (toronto) I could just walk in... I don't have a preorder either... is it a bad move to go?

            If I don't get it, I'll be pissed and it's a 20min walk.

The only thing they dont have extra here is the collectors guides or systems. The game itself they have plenty.

                  Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Killed dragon. Lost intrest in main story. There's a reason Dragon Age saved it for the end!
Tried sidequest and was reminded of the other reason to wait 2 years when it glitched and the good outcome was made unavailable.

The previously missing guy was waiting at the exit. Guess he just couldn't come into the dungeon for some reason.

So install AND save often. It makes autosaves but still, good idea. Though I should've remembered this is a Bethesda game on a console and have been enjoying them on PC with many fixes and should've saw it coming at some point.

                  So to recap...

+ Good combat compared to Oblivion, especially fatalities
+ Good graphics in comparsion to unmodded previous games
                  + Loot system appears better

                  --------------- Long load times
                  - Combat still not great overall
                  - Inconsistant companion system, sometimes they're just dumb as in all games
                  - Bethesda = glitches
                  - Interface wasn't as bad as originally thought but could still be better
                  - No more mix & match for armor
                  - Really long load times

? Can you really go up from killing a dragon?/May have peaked too soon. I'm sure there's bigger dragons but that's not really going up much.

+ Modders and patches should have most of this fixed at some point

                  Current rating 19/30

As a reminder the 11th is a holiday in both Canada and the U.S.,just sayin'.

What other midnight releases have you been to? So I can use it to judge what I may encounter later.

The last midnight I went to was for Fallout:NV and people were talking about specifics in the game they had seen online or whatever. Just my luck that I avoid articles and video's for the last 3 months only to have a bunch of numbnutts spill all kinds of info while I'm standing in line... Crossing fingers.

I've seen people try this at gamestops and get turned away. If you go to a big box store that's open at midnight you can do it easy.
