Re: Mass Effect 3
This is one of the things that they have done right. It should have always been like this, no MP requirement, and relatively easy to get the the best endings. A large portion of the Bioware gaming public don't have a Ninja Gaiden or a Diablo mindset, they play these games for a different reason.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Mass Effect 3
Spoiler
if the catalyst was the citadel the entire time, there was no need for sovereign to even exist. at least with the information that is given.
I guess I still wait and see what the extended cut offers, I just don't really seeing it clearing up a lot of the concerns some people have. if only EA would have let them work and not put them on such a tight deadline, most of this ending stuff wouldn't have be an issue.
SpoilerThat's not a given. The vanguard (Sovereign), could be the one who awakens the catalyst.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I have been a fan of this whole story from the very beginning. I just dont play multi player. Its not for me at all. I do not like playing with people I dont know. I prefer a single player campaign and I always have.
I think its a great thing that all of these games have put in multi player. Having a game that appeals to everybody is a good thing. If you like playing with other people and setting up teams or guilds or gangs, great have fun and enjoy. But if a game has been mainly a single player experience then I think it is crossing a line to force multi player on people to be able to get the best ending.
I had shelved Mass Effect 3 in the hope that this would be one of the fixes. Now I am excited to play this as I have been all of the other games. I hope I dont hate the ending like so many people. But for me it has been a great ride and one I am almost certain I will take again. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Mass Effect 3
So I spoiled myself and watched the ending I chose, control, on youtube. It's much better now and explains a lot more. I wanted to see if it is worth it to play through again to see the other endings. Based off that ending, I would say yes because I stopped myself from watching any of the other endings.
I am glad they fixed these endings.Comment

The new endings were pretty good. Ended upSpoilerpicking Destroy. The Normandy pickup scene with Shepard and Tali after getting blasted by Harbinger was also nicely done. Only downer for me was I wanted to play/visit the stuff the slides were showing.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerNo, they don't show it, but everybody dies, and the reapers win again during this cycleSpoilerbut information is passed on for the next generation of organics, so that they can finally defeat the reapers.
I'm pretty satisfied. It won't come out, but EA rushing the release seems to be the only logical reason why they didn't flesh out all these ending before. For them not to do have done it this way the first time is completely nonsensical otherwise.Last edited by jfsolo; 06-26-2012, 04:34 PM.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Mass Effect 3
Yea. I don't know what the hell EA was thinking on the first go around. I don't know if they ran out of time, money, or what.
But, the EC did just what I hoped it would do. Restore my faith in Bioware moving forward.Redskins, Lakers, Orioles, UNC Basketball , and ND Football

Re: Mass Effect 3
SpoilerI still thought the relays were destroyed? From the video I saw on YT, I thought Adm. Hackett said to the fleet something to the effect of The Crucible was armed and to get the hell out of there. All of the ships took off at that point prior to the relays being destroyed. I guess I'll have watch it again.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

I chose to Control still just to see what happened with what I picked the first time.
SpoilerI didn't mind the ending anyway, but the extended cut made it much better. Definitely gives it more leverage as my favorite game this year, and I am more excited to do my second playthrough with my other character now. At first I thought Shepard was going to say that he understood why the Reapers would want to kill humans with the way he started talking.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
