You switch/cycle through targets with the right stick. You have hold the left trigger to lock onto a target and than you can cycle through with the right stick, while still holding the left trigger.

Edit: After playing a little bit more, you don't actually have to be holding the left trigger to switch/cycle through targets. I am actually finding it easier to just use the right stick, like Doc Holliday suggested.

I have found that for going the left still "lock on" in general has helped me, as Gerald seems to attack the dude in the general direction you push with the right stick.

I'm starting to like the combat more since I started doing this, and am feelin more "badass"

That's because attacking with Gerald is different than attacking with Geralt. Gerald is an accountant and not a Witcher.

At least from what I played so far, I think this will be end being one of the top 2 or 3 RPGS I have played. I would like to add, that while the game is scaled down graphically from the PC, it still is one the better looking 360 games I have played. Story is very deep and interesting so far, and the game is a very mature RPG.

Oh and something refreshing about the game, relative to most games these days, is that the manual is actually useful and a quest guidebook being included is an extra bonus as well.
Even if you have never heard of the Witcher series, I honestly believe that most who try it out will feel the exact same way that you are feeling (RPG fan or not).

This is pretty much the first time I've felt like I needed to do all of the sidequests, they are top-notch. Even the job board quests.

Also in the Witcher you really have to prepare for big fights using potions and sword enhancements. They really are two different types of games. I have enjoyed playing both. When I want fast paced RPG action I go Amalur, when I want slow and steady the Witcher. Oh and the Witcher has a very deep and mature story.

Thanks! I'll probably try both over time, but this helps me figure out which game to get when (if I want lighter or heavier)

Having just finished the witcher, and being blown away from the ending cinematic, I was excited to started the second Witcher, and wow the opening cinematic was amazing and really pumps you up from the start as you begin your journey as Geralt. The voice-acting is top notch, the writing is great, and the gameplay is fun. The gameplay is like Demon's Souls although unlike Demon's souls you don't have to restart when you die, but I prefer this style of combat as each decision you make is critical and you don't get a lot of wriggle room for a mistake. I like the fact when you act too aggressively you pay for it, and when you attack intelligently you are rewarded for it. Geralt isn't omnipotent, he is just a witcher and a mutant, who has more tools and fighting acumen at his disposal than your typical warrior, and the gameplay in this the Witcher 2 really captures this.

By the way, I like the new way of meditating, that you don't need to start a fire anymore.

I think they made some good design decisions in the use of the meditate function and the use of potions. Potions were very powerful in the first one. I could load up on a bunch of ptions and really become pretty powerful. I dominated the end boss of the 1st Witcher.

I will just say this. The Withcer and Witcher 2 are probably my favorite RPG behind Baldur's Gate Series. I played Kingdoms demo, but to me the story and the grittiness of the Witcher is just awesome and different from other RPG's out there. I am a hard core RPG player and it doesn't gett much better than the Witcher. If you have a decent computer at all, I highly suggest getting the first Witcher and playing that, then get the Witcher 2.

Yeah it was easy for me too, especially the tawny owl potion in conjunction with the igni sign made it a pretty easy time. I like now that swallow isn't that strong, but I'm def relying on it because every time I venture out into the forest outside Flotsam I'm using one. Are the herbs pretty abundant for Swallow so you never have to worry about running out of them?

It has been about 6 to 8 months since I beat it, but to my knowlege finding herbs was not an issue. That is to say, you shouldn't run around gulping swallow potion all of the time. If you are out questing and not in the town, then yeah, I would think you should be ok. I think certain components grow in certain locations, so you need to find that out and go herb gathering.

I'm in act 2 and could someone please tell me the best way to make money here? Good god, lol. In Act 1 I could make money easy by arm wrestling, in Act 2 everything is so low when you win. It's rediculous, I win like 10 gold every time in arm wrestling, in Act 1 it was like 30. I can't play Dice Poker for the simple fact I hate the damn cheating AI. I get a 4 of a king, the AI rolls 3 dice and gets a 5 of a kind and so on.....lol.
