Re: Modern Warfare 3 PS3/360
Wow, I can't believe this game is just 11 days away. I just realized I will be off on Tuesday and will be picking this up midnight.
I am coming up with gun ideas and perks for Hard Core Search and Destroy as we wait for release. Hopefully Hard Core is unlocked from the start.Comment

I had the same feeling after watching it. Just gonna rent it for a week, beat the SP, then maybe check out the MP a little. It could change my mind, but I doubt I'll be keeping it.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Modern Warfare 3 PS3/360
It just looks too much like the most recent installments of COD. I think I just played so much MW2, to where I've burnt myself out on it..
Even with Black Ops, I've had rounds where I went 42-7 and kicked ***, but on the flip side there are rounds where I've got my *** completely handed to me, at the hands of the same lame perks I used to have such a good round. I'm going to take a year off from the game and hope it helps bring back some enjoyment for me.
While I didn't really expect a hell of a lot of change, I just don't think I can handle much more of the COD Multiplayer experience (killstreaks, perks, etc.) and now these new weapon enhancements. In my opinion, the game all ready caters too much to the average gamer without adding stuff like this. There's something cool about finding a gun that you're really good with and you're just that damn good with it. I don't see the point in making the gun easier to use for someone, just because they've used it a lot. I feel like extra scopes and attachments should be sufficient.
I enjoy the MW campaign and I still plan to play it to finish out the story and I won't sit here and pretend like I won't at least load up the online once, but I just don't have any interest in it. I have a buddy who's going to buy it, so I'll just borrow it one day and finish out the campaign.Comment

Re: Modern Warfare 3 PS3/360
Good points about the weapon perks. If a weapon has recoil there is nothing you can do to stop that recoil, unless you lower your fire rate, something the user can do. I don't see why we need a perk to lower the sway or recoil of a gun, when the user can manually lower the recoil. I hope it doesn't decrease recoil too much, to where a gun has absolutely no recoil. If the user has an AK47 and holds in the firing button, that weapon should have recoil, weapon perk or not. I hope it's not overdone, and I'm glad they are bringing weapon sway back into MW3, it would suck if weapon progression completely counters that.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 10-28-2011, 03:25 PM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Modern Warfare 3 PS3/360
I am looking really forward to this but that new weapon customization mode has me wondering: Wont it lead to a standardization for every class and weapon?
If I have an assault weapon and add a scope (which I always do anyway) followed by this "ability to control breathing", don't I become more of a Sniper?
Or if I have an LMG and add speed, doesn't that make me more of an assault person?
I am feeling that this new "grey" area of weapon customization might actually reduce that unique feeling to each weapon/class.
The simple answer to this would be ofcourse to leave this whole weapon customization alone (no one is going to force anyone) but I am wondering if the masses all turn into an assault/sniper hybrid or other convoluted mixtures. Just me maybe.Last edited by ps3veron; 10-29-2011, 06:27 AM.Comment
