I love the random stuff in this game.
However the map editor is taking over my life, I love it.
I spent hours just adjusting little things and adding other items, hour just vanish when I'm in the editor.

I remember in Farcry instincts and predator how much time I spent in the editor making places suck as where I hunted and normandy beach.

My brother and I would create maps and play them against each other. Fun times.

This game does it right in the survival/against all odds department. It is tough sledding for the first part of the game, with heavy enemy patrols and low ammo. The great thing about this game is just when you think you are safe, you are not. Prime example for me thus far has been taking out two soldiers, hearing a hissing sound and then being attacked by two komodo dragons, I ended up winning that battle but was in dire straights as I emptied a whole clip and that brought another patrol which eventually wiped me out. And nothing is more annoying than trying to keep a low profile near an enemy and a pack of wild dogs come running through. There are so many ways to play this way, from a guns blazing approach to a stealth approach depending on the player's preference. So far GOTY for me.

Got the PC version and would really like to try the Multiplayer with some OS Steam Users...

Buying 360 version after Christmas, because just got Hitman and a lot of games that I will be playing until then.

Oh yeah! game is amazing, intro was awesome and it kept getting better after that.

Think I spoke too soon earlier, must of just been an issue with the early part of the game. Once the island opened up after the initial part of the game, the graphics really have grown on me. Chalk it up to being too hyped for the game initially. Some really gorgeous views and sights on the island. Day/night and weather cycles is also a nice touch.

Really some fantastic gameplay so far, literally can't put it down. Maybe the best FPS I have ever played. Level of freedom in the game is off the charts. Loving the bow, wish more games had a bow.

I was playing last night and started to notice clusters of black pixelated boxes appearing in certain spots in the game world. I thought it might be a freak thing but it happened a number of times and was sporadic in occurrence.

I turned the machine off thinking maybe the xbox was tanking. Cant wait to play some more later tonight and will see if it happens again but has anyone else had this issue?

Just bought the PC download from gamefly for $39.99 (no tax), if anyone wants it, use the coupon NOV20OFF (still works) for 20% off digital downloads. Wanted from steam, but for $10 less I'll survive.

Installing now and will fire it up. From the looks of it, I'll love it!

                    Re: Far Cry 3

Have never played a game in this series before this one.

Had a lot of fun the first go in Co-op mode. Haven't fully dived into the single player portion yet, but with ACIII/BO2/NFSMW it might take a back seat.

I agree with the graphics sentiment. Cut scenes are ok, but in the open world they are definitely not the greatest. Lots of jaggy shadows and there is this wierd low quality blur over the whole game that really makes textures look less "smooth".

Also, enemy's seem glitchy. Lots of weird teleporting to cover and things like that.

Doesn't take away from the enjoyment though. Graphics are nice, but gameplay is most important and that seems like FarCry 3's strong suit.

                      Question for everyone:

I am going to grab this today, but I am debating whether or not I should get it for the 360 or PS3. My PS3 needs some love, but I am not a big fan of the 6.5 GB mandatory install. Although the PS3 is getting some free DLC in Jan - but it's coop so I doubt I will be very interested. Are there any significant differences between the two systems? What do you all recommend?

Is there anyone here who doesn't tag enemies? Unless you use the camera, you can't tag them, right? I'm thinking of not using it when I get the game. Can you still take them down without it, or is it too hard?

The game has been pretty easy on hard mode so you should be ok without tagging enemies. You can adjust the difficulty at any time as well.

Do I have to play other Far Cry games to understand what's going on in this game? I haven't played any Far Cry's before.

                                Nope.

Btw Kicking The Hornets Nest was a awesome *** mission. Playing a stealth playthrough of the game but that mission i had to go Rambo.
