So far this year I've played mostly sports game and then old non sports game so my list will change alot once I get the new games for christmas.

1. NCAA Football 12

2. LA Noire - A very diffrent game that Im getting anxious to play through again

3. MLB The show - First time playing the game and road to the show was pretty much the only mode I played

4. Madden 12 - Bought my for first time in years and enjoyed it.

I haven't played Rayman (and barely played Alice for that matter ) but it's on the list because I expect it to be. I've only watched someone play it but it's clear they put effort and care into it. Also instead of pulling some sort of money grabbing stunt they offered BG&E for free as a pre-order bonus.

AC Revalations was too disapointing to put on here. Not that I didn't enjoy it but still disapointed. Plus all the different versions and not actually being able to get any of them. Child of Eden was a flat out major disapointment.

Saints Row and Forza 4 were disqualified due to shenanigans/disrespecting customers. The publishers or developers should be ashamed of themselves. I'm not entirely sure who is responsible for these things but they're not going on my list. That's also why I haven't posted any actual impressions in the SR 3 thread,just some pics.

Arkham City,NCAA 12 and Skyrim also tossed for being broken messes. What I played of Arkham City was great but I am simply disgusted with what they've done with the PC version so even if I play it later and it's the best game ever I wouldn't put it here. NCAA 12 was my favorite sports game of the year (it's been a pretty bad year ) and I played enough to consider it to be on here but fact is the end result is still unacceptable. Skyrim might be enjoyable in 2-4 years and 80+ mods,can't go on potential,can only go with what they put out and what they put out was a mess and I can't help but wonder how much those reviews cost.

WWE 12 falls into all of the above.

Never got around to EDF at all or finishing DA II so they can't really go on here. Still waiting for a bigger sale for DX:HR and The Witcher 2,plus I should finish the first game.

Hey I played Alice,just not for very long,was going to put DXHR there but haven't played that at all. You just moved Rayman up to #1 so there.

I don't even remember the screwy thing Forza did.

Saints Row removed cheats from SR 2 to charge for them then said they'd all have in game equals you could unlock but they don't all have it. Also claimed 40 weeks of DLC which they said wouldn't even be worked on until the game was finished...but nearly all of it is on the disc. So basically they gutted the game and left it on the disc to make it look like they were doing something nice in making that much DLC except it's already made and people that didn't pay for it are already playing with it. That's not even close to acceptable.

I have seen it all.

PC version of Batman. DX11 is broken,they said they delayed it 5 weeks to improve DX11 but the code is from September which means they had no reason to delay it as they didn't actually do anything and DX11 doesn't work properly. Even in DX9 there's crashes,stuttering and secuerom randomly going off on legit copies preventing people from advancing or deleting their saves. So yes I'd consider that broken. Haven't heard anything about the consoles but PC version is a complete and utter disgrace.

And yes Skyrim...just like Oblivion,just like Fallout 3,just like Fallout Vegas...and mysteriously not punished by reviewers. People around here don't accept sports games like this,why accept non-sports games? I don't. Like I said in the Skyrim topic if Tom Brady was in Madden with a squished nose like that EA would be the devil,the dev team hung and they'd never be allowed to make another game. Skyrim does it? GotY! No problem at all! Quest randomly breaks? Oh that's fine! Kobe's shoelaces are tied wrong? Ah hell no! You suck 2K! Quest character randomly disappears so you can never finish it? Psh bound to happen. Big Papi's swing is off by 3 inches? Never buying a baseball game from them again!

Infinite ammo & never reload which you can eventually get in the game at level 50 or so but obviously the game is probably over at that point,never die (they said you could get it in game but you actually can't),mass hole,super saints (so your AI homies aren't stupid and dying all the time),player pratfalls and super explosions. In other words all the stuff that made SR 2 fun. Cheat programs keep breaking too.

Well it appears I need to get Skyrim. I wanted it but I'm somewhat consumed with other projects right now, and I preordered The Old Republic which comes out in four weeks. I feel like there is no time.

That said, I really haven't played too many games this year, but my shoddy list looks like this:

1. Battlefield 3
2. MLB '11: The Show
3. FIFA '12
4. Mass Effect 2 (limited play)
5. Mortal Kombat
6. L.A. Noire

NHL '12 and NCAA '12 were both underwhelming to me, with NCAA probably being the biggest disappointment. I didn't put time in Madden because, well, it's Madden.

I also need to play games like Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, and Arkham City to get a better feel for this year in gaming. I imagine The Old Republic will end up on my list in the top 3.
