So last night I gifted my city of Chicago 150,000 Simoleons. Server crashed, was down for a good 3 minutes, got back in and that money is just GONE. Speaking of Chicago, I picked this area that had mountains in it simply because it had 2 huge oil deposits. Big mistake, because of the damn mountains I can't even USE 1/2 of the map. Just a waste of space for an already too small map as it is.

Now all I got to do now is find out how to get my casino off the ground. Had it in my big city of 111,000 people but damn I was losing $7,000 a day. I said F that BS and bull dozed it LOL.

anyone else bored of this game already? i haven't played it in 2 days!!! im usually addicted to sim games for a lot longer than that! after you build a city more like village theres not much more to do, oh go build another small village? the only time spent on the game is managing brainless AI, instead of building citys, i liked the game a lot when i first played it, but its wore off, the replayabilty is just not there, not to mention the problems in the game is far from a few

population numbers are inflated, the dumb system to track every sim which is more like 20,000 even when you have like 200,000 population is very broken, i think this whole looking glass, or what ever they call it is the reason this game has so many problems

Any word on if/when they will increase the city size. I don't have the game and honestly am just seeing the regular gameplay videos on youtube for the first time. The city size is absolutely pathetic. I read that it was small from you guys but I finally got to see it for myself and am stunned.

With casinos, I think you have to look at what type of person each extension to the casino brings in relation to the general wealth of your city and the general wealth of the area surrounding the casino. If you're city is filled with wealthy citizens and high land values, low-wealth sims aren't going to come to your region and vice-versa. High-wealth sims will come, but only if you've catered the casino to them. Thus it's easy to lose money on casinos if they are not managed right.

So you saying you can't have an all in one type of Casino ? You either got to cater to the poor or cater to the rich ? You can't do both ? Because I had everything at that casino.

Guys we really need people for OSville 2 if interested. I have no one to buy power/water from. It kind of sucks lol

Also if I build a high school, Do I need a grade school? ORRRR, can I just build a university and forget highschool and grade school?

So you saying you can't have an all in one type of Casino ? You either got to cater to the poor or cater to the rich ? You can't do both ? Because I had everything at that casino.

You can do both, but if you don't have wealthy citizens, catering to wealth won't accomplish much. Also, you need tourists from the region to come to the casino, so if your neighboring cities are sparsely populated, you won't get many tourists.

Yeah, that happens when we don't have everyone next to each other and connected, kinda sucky if you ask me. Oh well future lessons.

Yeah my GF had just got her city going (a lot better than mine.. ) and it closed on her! LOL she was so mad.
