Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
I can dig it. I would have Comcast #1 personally, but I love to hate EA enough that I am cool with it.PS: You guys are great.

Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
Buying from EA has absolutely 0 to do with the poll.
You can still have an opinion on if you think they are "the worse company" even if you dont buy from them any longer.
In any case I could name a few other besides EA so yeah the poll doesnt really do anything for me.Joshua:

Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
I really didn't need a poll to tell me that EA is a greedy company.
So is most every other game developer/publisher out there.
I enjoy a lot of the games they publish like Mass Effect and Battlefield, so I have no huge gripe with the company + they've provided me with countless hours of enjoyment with games they actually developed like the last-gen NCAA games, NHL, FIFA, etc.
I think most people "hate" EA, because it's sounds like the cool thing to do...Last edited by AUChase; 04-04-2012, 07:51 PM.Comment

Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
Anyone that knows me, knows I hate EA for taking away NFL football. But even I would have voted for BofA or AT&T (I had them both at one point) over EA. Like someone else said, you don't have to buy their games (only bought madden 08 and 10 this gen).
If you look at the bracket, EA had an easy road to the final 4 other than going against comcast. Since I live in Arizona I don't know how bad comcast is, but if it's like COX Communications here, than yea that should have beaten EA also. But if you put EA in some of these other brackets, they might have been knocked out early. Where as BofA, AT&T and Walmart would probably win out in any one of those brackets.
I am glad to see Walmart up there though. I hate that store. Haven't been in it going on 4 years now.
And one last thing, if this was a phone survey instead of online (since a lot of people probably never been to that site) BofA would have crushed EA. It wouldn't have been close. But I am glad EA is number one, maybe they will get off their a**** and actually try to make their football games worthy of being Legendary like this other football game made back in 04-05NFL 2k5 When Sept. Ends.

At least they know how to keep a damn server up. The NBA2K server goes down daily for no reason in the middle of the day.
Why the hate for PayPal and Target? I'm surprised Facebook beat out USPS.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 04-04-2012, 07:04 PM.Comment

Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
Apparently EA released a statement:
"We're sure that British Petroleum, AIG, Philip Morris, and Halliburton are all relieved they weren't nominated this year. We're going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide."

EA is "bad" and certainly greedy and I don't like the way they've shifted towards "additional and online content", but ranking them above all other companies in the world?

That's simple typical EA. Release a statement that doesn't answer anything.
It's the Pro-tak answer.
Yes they unfortunetly sell a lot of games. Too many lemmings into gaming.Joshua:

Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
In a world of evil banks kicking people from homes, price gouging oil companies, and hacking media corporations, EA is the worst? How are they even in the same league of horrible customer practices and human suffering?
This is just some bitter internet nerds stuffing a ballot box because they didn't like Mass Effect 3.Last edited by bkfount; 04-04-2012, 07:28 PM.Comment

Re: EA voted Worst Company In America For 2012
Wow! I might put Comcast over EA in this race. Verizon is getting up there with their stupid charges(Tried to pay my bill in cash at the store and was told there would be an additional "convienience fee" charge of $4.00 to take my payment...LOL I don't think so) on everything and their stupid packages(You have a 450min plan or 900min plan but nothing in between that).EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
