Dead Space 1&2 rank high on my all time list.

Dead Space 3 was a no brainer for me and the $20 credit iced it.

Can't wait to play through it.

Man this is the first Feb I can remember that has a lot of games I was interested in. Between this, Crysis 3, Aliens, Tomb Raider and bioshock I have no clue what I want to get. Lol. Good thing I don't have a good CPU or else I would have Company of Heroes 2 on the list as well.

Apparently they don't want any sales on the PC...

When asked about his decision to not make a PC optimized version of the game, executive producer Steve Papoutsis went on the defensive.

"It's confusing to me that this question even comes up," Papoutsis told us. "It's by no means any less important to us; it gets a lot of attention. The PC is a very different platform. As developers, you want to deliver an experience that's as similar as possible on different platforms.

We continue to evolve our games as we develop them, but we certainly don't target PC as something that's going to be significantly different. We aren't trying to create disparity in the experience that our gamers enjoy; we want to make sure everyone's having that same experience.

"At our studio, we've always made console games," he pointed out. "The biggest thing is we want to make sure the quality of the experience is consistent across all platforms so we don't have one userbase saying it's better on their system."

"The fact that we're allowing you to control the game with a mouse and keyboard immediately makes the game feel different," Papoutsis said.

PC Gamers:

I mean yes the game could be better on the PC but as long as your getting the same game as everyone else with no problems be grateful. If it doesnt run right then complain until then at least you have the game. If its anything like Dead Space 2 then graphically it will be better.

In my opinion its like three kids and all three of them get candy bars but one of the kids complain that he doesn't have more than the others.

I don't know, even as a console gamer that statement doesn't seem very wise to me. If he meant gameplay-wise it would be indentical that is a given, but the way he worded his statement makes it seem like they didn't make an effort to make the PC version standout from a graphical standpoint. I would assume the PC version would look better, but that is not how it came across.

Also I would like to mention even as a console gamer I don't agree with trying to make the PC and console versions equal in games, accept for in the gameplay department. I don't have any problem with the PC version of a game looking sigficantly better, that is the way it should be considering how outdated the consoles are.

By my understanding of the article is that they didn't try to go out of their way to develop it for the PC from the ground up. Maybe I'm missing a point or misunderstanding the whole situation and/or article.

Played the demo, it wasn't bad but it really didn't do anything I haven't seen before, felt like a melting pot of other games making it stale to me.

Don't have a problem with it really. They been doing it to consoles this whole generation. Technically PS3 and 360 versions shouldn't even look the same, but it do because game makers want their games to sell well on both systems.

Dead Space makers just carried this mindset to the PC version this time around.

I agree 100%, the only thing I was saying in my initial post is that he could have worded his statement a little bit better. I would assume the resolution and FPS would obviously be higher, but some PC gamers might get the wrong idea from the wording of his statement.

12:00 - get game
12:15 - turn all lights off, get comfortable
12:17 - pause game, turn hallway light on.
12:18 - turn game off resume in daylight.
