So the devs have come out and said that this will be a gender neutral game. There will no gender option in the game, they removed it after feedback from the demo select people were able to play.

This is actually not the case at all to my understanding. They have actually added options to BE gender neutral but you may still create a male or female character. So the have not removed anything, they have just added options.

Edit: I have not watched the whole video because I am at work. So if it is inappropriate could a mod take it down please.

For example, Jonkers says that character creation has been overhauled to the point where players don't even select a gender -- male or female. "Our character creation menu, for instance, compared to the last demo we now give you so many more options. For instance, you don’t choose your gender anymore. People can of course still make the exact character that they want to make in the game, nothing has been taken away from them, but for some folks it seems that other people, in their own private game, now being able to make the exact character that they want to as well, seems to be a bridge too far.

This is just silly on so many levels lol

As long as the gameplay wasn't altered for this then it really isn't a big deal. If you can still have the exact male/female character you want and receive the same interactions from NPC's then it's just a title on the screen. I'm surprised they didn't just add an "androgynous" option or something.

At this point, im just hoping that there's a preset for the female version of V that was in last year's 45 minute gameplay demo.

First Person only. I believe that the gunplay and shooting mechanics will be good but my concern is with the melee combat as I still haven't played or come across a game in first person that had good or better melee combat.

The driving though can be viewed in third person behind the car or at leat that's how it was showed during last year's 45 minute gameplay walkthrough.

There will be a 15 minute gameplay walkthrough released tomorrow.

Thanks. Since we can't actually see the character I'm hoping/wondering if characters will respond differently to different character models and affecting stats.

Well according to people who played the demo, the NPCs referred to your character as he or she. Now they removing all of those voice overs that had he, she, man, female, woman, etc. when NPCs are talking to you. So I take it now the NPCs will just talk to you without any pronouns,
