So what version of the game is all the footage from - current or next gen?

These Cyberpunk cars aren't realistic at all.

From what I know, current gen on PC at ultra high settings. I don't know if there is an official release for next gen. I checked and no preorder for next gen consoles. So this game will be BC for next gen. So for next gen at launch, it might just be a Optimized for Series X|S / Boost Mode game. Where at most native 4k and/or graphics/performance modes and faster loading. I expect Q2/Q3 we'll see the next gen enhancements and an official next gen launch.

Maybe not as realistic as per the trends you see in real life vehicle design, but compared to a lot of futuristic nonsense featuring flying cars or some exaggerated robotic/laser BS, this is much more realistic and grounded. I'll take it. One reason I don't like futuristic games is that a lot of things look really silly in them. Things make more sense in CP2077.

Haha, got it now. But anyway the cars in the game look more like how futuristic cars were imagined back in the 80s. But I love the retro ones, I will take it over any futuristic spaceship-like cars.

And the city looks realistic with regular roads instead of the sky-level roads in other futuristic games/movies. It all looks very possible and that's why I like it. I usually stay away from anything too futuristic.

Agree with the post above. I am not one that typically loves things that are too sci-fi-y, or whatever. I typically need things that are more grounded and believable. This game has plenty of sci-fi stuff in it, but it is comes off in a believable-enough fashion for me to be okay with it. I also love 80's stuff, so the game having a big 80's feel to it despite being in the future is another big plus for me.

I agree with you even if only because by 2077 we couldn't even build that in that time frame, nor is there the economic incentive to do that. I loved Minority Report, but the only part I didn't love was the magnetic car/highway tech because it seemed super unlikely although it wasn't the focus so didn't detract too much from the film.

I think many good futuristic ideas steal from Blade Runner to some degree (not the cars in this case) and that's a good thing because for the most part its very lived in and grungy

                        Re: Cyberpunk 2077

This has become my Watch Dogs Legion game. Not really into FPS futuristic games, but with the breathing living and interactive world, the vehicle design and the action, this has become my most anticipated game.

Lost interest in WDL, so I'm happy I have a new open world game to look forward to, though I may have to wait for a little price drop.
