Yea that's the way I understand it you can play it on your ps5 at launch. However the free upgrade next gen experience wont be coming till sometime in 2021

So this is probably my most anticipated game but I'm a little bit confused about its PS5 release and was hoping for some clarification.

From my understanding according to this https://www.gamesradar.com/cyberpunk...ies-x-upgrade/

at release, I can play this on the PS5 but it will be the PS4 version; then later in sometime in 2021 a version with PS5 graphics will be released (and upgraded for free through a patch)... I think that correct and if so, I think I'll just continue to hold off until the upgrade version is available.

And it looks like an amazing place that I can't wait to explore

That kind of sucks.. hopefully, Miles Morales and NBA 2K can tide me over until this or Hogwarts Legacy releases.

With the recent news about "crunch" at the company I wouldn't expect it to come anytime soon. My guess is that's just to get the regular game working and then they will start on the next gen side.

Yeah that is the way I understood it too. This is the reason why im getting it on the PC. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a RTX 3080 and am really looking forward to trying Cyberpunk on it. It is the reason why I wanted to upgrade my graphics card

I really like it that the game features realistic futuristic vehicles and retro ones. I much prefer this over futuristic games with nonsense silly vehicles.

They plan on adding next gen enhancements some time next year for next gen consoles. From what I know, the experience will be same on Current gen and next gen at launch. The only difference is that Next Gen version might be a 'Optimized for Series X|S'/Boost Mode experience instead of a true next gen experience until those enhancements come next year

Okay I see. Wonder how much difference there will really be in a year's time. CD Projekt Red put in crazy amounts of effort and actually care so either way I'm not worried. If it's anywhere near as good as the Witcher 3 I'll end up playing 2077 for a while anyway.

Agree with this. The only vehicle I really didn't like was the one with two pairs of tires at the front. I felt it was the weakest of them all.

Totally agree. It would make more sense if the two pairs of tires were in the rear of the car, but oh well. There are so many vehicles that you don't even need to touch any vehicle you don't like.
