Same here. I typically try with KB + mouse first, but once they open up to driving (Far Cry) I gotta go back to a controller.

I'm glad I haven't been anticipating this game for as long as some of you all. The expectations that have to have built up over all that time have to be insane. For me it just looks like a cool game made by a a company that made a game I really like. So if it's bad it won't be nearly as disappointing for me as it could be had I been waiting for this for almost 8 years.

I'm confused about when we'll be able to digitally download and play. So if we're PS4/PS5 users we can pre-download today but it doesn't unlock until 12:00 am on the 10th? I've read some sources that say the 9th for PS4/PS5.

Well, I think my PC version's fully downloaded. It still has the game in my "update required" list on steam, but it doesn't do anything if I try to move it up in the queue - it just moves on to another pending download. So at the very least, I can't download anything else right now beyond the 57.3 GB.

Store page says it unlocks in one day, and earlier it was showing the additional hours along with that. So, probably right around 24 hours until it becomes playable.

So a mixed bag this morning.


Tons of bugs and crashes. But I still don't believe the "day one" patch is out.

Interesting enough as I am finishing getting ready, my PS5 just told me the game is ready to play.

Wish I could test that, but I have to head to work!

I haven't personally seen it yet, but my friends were watching some live streams this morning of gameplay and the frames were dropping down to 30 in some situations.

Witcher 3 is probably my second favorite game ever but I played it after all the DLC was out and everything was fixed so based on what I'm reading, I'll probably self postpone this for another year or until they fix everything so it doesn't ruin the experience for me, it'll also give me enough time to get a 3080. I can't stand Bethesda games almost purely because of the bugs so I hope this doesn't turn into that. Some of the things I've been hearing in impressions don't bother me but others are more troubling, just listening to Giant Bomb say (not a story spoiler, just an opinion)

the writing is a level below The Witcher 3 and that there's no "Bloody Baron" or anything on that level is a big problem for me

So correct me if I'm wrong but there are two patches one is a patch that's not the day one patch that that is available now and then another day 1 patch that will drop upon the actual release date. Are all these streams playing the game with both of these patches or not. If not the issues could be non existent or less of them after all patches are installed.

I only say this because it seems some people (not in this thread) have an agenda and are actively hoping the game fails or just want to get internet famous with the "oh look I'm first to show you all these bugs isn't it awful give me views" Anyway I trust the feedback of those that post here more than most random streamers. Interested to see what impressions from people around here are.

So people on Twitter arw saying if you change your region to New Zealand on Xbox you can play Cyberpunk right now.

Dont know if i would do it i worry about Xbox banning accounts.
