    Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

I can agree with some of the posts saying the game is repetitive, I think as an RPG fan base we have evolved from really annoying and over the top collectible tasks and want our side quests to have purpose.
I think the genre moving forward should start to back away from that sort of side questing, I'm not saying take it out completely, i'm just saying maybe developers shouldn't get carried away by making us collect 100+ etc of something!....It's just not that fun!.

I really enjoyed DragonAge: Inquisition, I'm a fan of the series, still for me Origins is the best of the 3 games so far, but Inquisition is a solid story and foundation to build on, and lack of throw back to older characters from previous games was a bit disappointing... The companions in Inquisition are decent but still need a bit more colour to make us care as much as we did about our companions from the previous games... I think the game could step up a lot graphically and I really think the game needs a name data base as opposed to everybody calling you "Inquisitor" for 100+ hours...it works with Commander Shepard in Mass Effect...but i don't feel it works here.

I've finished the game, and I am going to pick up Jaws of Hakkon and the new Deep Roads DLC this week!.
I'm curious to know (Spoiler Free) what are peoples thoughts on the DLC?, is it good?, worth the money?, and does anybody know how much DLC they plan on releasing?

Jaws of Hakkon was pretty damn good. Hard as hell though. IMO they should have made all the AI in the original game that hard from the get go. Ties into the Dragon Age world story quite well. They had all the DLC on sale this week.

From the creators, they hinted at probably one more story based DLC, maybe 2. Their Austin office did the Deep Roads DLC that is coming out Tuesday, while the Montreal office was busy working on a separate DLC. In reality though, it was so many under answered questions in DAI and Hakkon DLC that they really could do 6 or 8 more DLCs to answer all the unanswered questions.

FYI if you want a real challenge, play Jaws of Hakkon the way it was meant to be played. Without using Spoils of Arvar and Quanari DLCs.

          Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

Thanks, I don't have the spoils of war or Qunari DLC, it's been a long time since i've even played Inquisition i don't even know what they are!.
I'll pick them up the DLC regardless..and very much looking forward to getting into DragonAge as a nice break from The Witcher 3

The Decent DLC is hard as hell. Seriously hard, even more hard then what Jaws of HAkkon was. Been playing for about 5 hours now. This is easily the best DLC for any game in years.

I'm about 20 hours in, just finished Here Lies the Abyss. I've been focusing mostly on story missions, just doing the side quests that are on the way. Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts should be a nice change of pace. So far it is my favorite Dragon Age game.

                Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

OMG the ending for The Descent DLC. Didn't see that coming. Bioware out did themselves. This DLC wasn't what I expected and I mean that in a good way. They took the Deep Roads and Dwarven lore to a whole other level. The whole thing is just insanely beautiful. They definitely bumped up the graphics for this DLC.

10 out of 10. This is hands down the best DLC I played in years. Ties into the lore and current game quite naturally. If you already beat the game, they reference it during the DLC, which I thought was nice. So many directions Bioware can go in now after this DLC.

It is as though the producers and writers were sitting around in a meeting one day, saying "These gamers think they know Dragon Age inside and out, all about the Deep Roads, etc. We going to flip the script on them."

                  Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

After you defeat the final boss in The Decent DLC, make sure you go back to base camp and do those Deep Roads Expeditions. It unlocks other areas of the Deep Roads that you can explore. Tons of high value loot. I found 500,000 gold worth of loot in this DLC. Now my entire crew is decked out.

Is there some way to get more money for your loot? Like one of the Inquisition Perks that I haven't been using?

You just got to know your vendor. Different vendors prefer different types of loot. Some prefer dwarf stuff, others prefer ornate looking items, others prefer regular stuff. So if you have what they prefer, you will get top dollar. But if you sell them stuff they don't care for, you won't get top dollar.

Now there are papers you can buy from one vendor in Skyhold where you can get discounts on things, but there is none that increase your loot value.

Just finished the Jaws of Hakkon DLC, enjoyable and some really cool stuff regarding previous inquisitions, tho more of the same DragonAge really needs to come out with a spectacular story plot or really revamp gameplay moving forward!...about to download the descent and head into the deep roads!

New DLC, coming Sept. 8. This will be the last DLC and it is post game DLC.

Anything having to do with money is under the 'Connections' perk tree. There are a number of perks there that give you more money from all vendors or have the vendors give you discounts. The Descent DLC has a shop that will pay ridiculous prices for your loot, even without any of the Connections perks.
