Re: The Witcher 3
Yes, it was in the first village I think. After a while wind picked up, it was darker and the whole atmosphere was better. I was playing with the headphones on, as wife and kids were already at bed, and the audio was spectacular.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
So does anyone know what's up with inventory? I know I can craft things with some (maybe all) of it. Is there a way to be able to hold more things? And is there someplace you can go to sell it all? My inventory is filling up and I'm not sure what to do with it.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
The only complaint I have and it could be operator error is the controls seem clunky/wonky at times. Other than that it has been a flawless 5 hours of gameplay for me

Re: The Witcher 3
I agree. Not surprisingly, it feels like I'm trying to play something on PC. I've been a console player my whole life, so the majority of the games I've played have very nice feeling controls. This doesn't. It's not so bad that I can't play though, and the rest of the game more than makes up for it. If this game was more mediocre with its world, story, and character building, then the controls would seem a lot worse.Comment

I think there's a blacksmith in the first town who sells an upgrade for your horse that increases inventory. Coulda sworn I saw that somewhere"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Witcher 3
Basically you have a total weight that you can carry. Don't pay attention to the spots in your bag. For the most part everything you pick up can be broken down into materials to use for crafting or alchemy. While you travel you will pick up plans to upgrade armor or create potions. I believe you can create potions on the fly by meditation, and you can upgrade armor at a blacksmith.
You can sell unwanted stuff to either the blacksmith, a merchant or the bar keepers. You meet at least two within the first 10-15 minutes of the game. The Blacksmith is also in that town too, but you need to do a mission for him first.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Yeah this games pretty awesome, I think I've probably logged about 6-7 hours or so now and have barely even touched the first main quest.
I'm really enjoying it so far.
I am starting to wish I had started on the third highest difficulty, rather than the normal one. I haven't faced a huge boss battle yet tho so maybe that will change.
I find myself using the trap sign and the fire sign most so far. What about you guys?"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I've been using the fire sign (Igni I think) the most. The trap probably second most. I've also used the telekenetic sign quite a bit, but usually to destroy things in my way while exploringComment

Re: The Witcher 3
I'm posting on a phone, wish I could type out a better reaponse.
I understand the confusions I was confused too.
Have you played witcher 2? Choices you makes in W2 affect the game world in W3, it carries over kinda like Mass Effect series
If you want t manually decide which choices from w2 your game recognizes and emulates in w3, the hit YES to simulate, you will simulate at some point in the first part of the game, it's a conversation with an NPC where he asks you questions.
If you just want the default w3 world the devs created following the events of w2, select No when asked to simulate-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment
