Anyone else think the text for inventory descriptions is tiny? I mean I have a 60 and I have to lean forward to read some of it.

Also stumbled onto the Allgod quest, takes like five minutes but is pretty funny.
I'm JUST about done with these quests. Must. Resist. Urge. To open. Spoiler tags.

You and the rest of the Internet.

I'm actually ok with the text size, myself. I'm just convinced that the entire planet sits about 10 inches too far from their TV's in general. Check out The Show forums and see all the threads about how hitting is too hard for reference.

I wish they would've done a better job of guiding you to the Gwent tutorial. I didn't realize there was a guy at the tavern in White Orchard you need to talk to. So once I did I left Velen to go back and find him and now he's gone.

Otherwise this game is awesome. Really reminds me of RDR

After the 1.04 on PC the text is bigger, so it will be somewhat fixed for consoles too.

There are good Gwent tutorials on YouTube. It may seem complex at first but it's easy to learn.

There is a barber that is captured by a group of bandits around Claywich. Once you free him he will be available near the dock and will give you 3 styles for free (clean shave w/ default hair, clean shave w/ short sides and pony tail, and clean shave w/ long flowing hair).

Yesterday was my first day back to work since I started the game last Wednesday and I am having withdrawals bad. I'm reading as much as I can about Gwent, reading the vaguest descriptions of decision differences in quests I've already completed, and researching trophies. Unfortunately I was unable to get any real time in yesterday so the pains are even deeper today. I can't really remember the last time a game had me hooked like this - its like I'm a teenager again jonesing through KotOR.

For me (38) the last game that hooked me so much was KotOR too. Basically both KotOR 1/2. And before this Gothic 1/2 ofc.

Not sure if a patch made geralt's hairworks-generated hair look better or if it just got longer so it doesn't look as off.

It's amazing that's something you can even wonder about in a video game.

Reading about the hair and beard mechanics before the game released I always thought it would just be a throwaway thing. I didn't think it would be something I would care about, but the beard growth is implemented so damn well. It somehow adds to world-building and character growth. You can look at the beard and see all your travels in its length. I hesitated when I shaved Geralt the first time because I felt like I was losing some of those early game memories.

                        Hey quick progression question, guys.

General consensus is to pretty much do all you can do in Velen before moving on to Novigrad. The problem is defeating The Baron's mission requires (I think) for me to go there. That, and some really low level missions are in Novigrad too so I'm afraid if I spend too much more time in Velen, I'll be way too powerful for a chunk of Novigrad's missions.

I don't want to get ahead of myself so what should I do? Finish up Baron's quest line and keep chipping away at Velen, or go between the two? I'm a level 9 right now, by the way.

I made the mistake of going to Novigrad a bit to early and pretty much got destroyed...I'm currently a level 14,and while sure there are enemies you can defeat, there are others that are simply waaaaaaaay to difficult.

In all fairness though,I have run into a few enemies like that in Velen as well,so I think what I'm going to do is clear as much of Velen as I can before moving on with the story.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

After the quest I went on a Gwent binge. I took out all the Velen players and Inn Keepers without trouble.I beat the banker to start the Big City Players qwent quest line.

I got my Northern Empire deck to 126 strength. I am no longer scared by the monster decks and their power that summons all card of the same number and power. Just make sure to stack biting frost in your deck before you draw to combat that power.

I want to play my Nilfgard deck but I need more spies before I think its good enough to compete. I am also looking for a scorge card.
