Re: The Witcher 3
Just finished Wild at Heart. So dope. I'm level 7 right now and loving all the options I have of things to do. Nothing feels tedious at all. If all RPG's were like this, I'd be a bigger fan of the genre.Comment

Did you get all the experience points you should have, including the big chunk at the end? There is a bug effecting some people that is denying some or all xp.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

FWIW, I just played for 3 hours or so and didn't seem to miss any Exp. Did a couple main quests, one side quest, and several ?'s.Comment

I just did the Shrieker contract and hot full XP so I am encouraged. Still, I am near the end of the Bloody Baron mission and am wary of finishing it and missing out on big XP.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

Re: The Witcher 3
I've always gotten full XP on contracts, I'm definitely missing XP on other things though, I'm keeping track and now and it's happened three times today.
You can always keep multiple saves. If you get the XP keep going, if not, load the save and wait
I'm not even halfway thru the game (probably not even close to halfway) and this ins already a top 3 game I've ever played. No doubt about it. It for sure has a lot of bugs tho, which is understandable given the sheer amount of content and epic nature of the gameLast edited by The JareBear; 05-29-2015, 02:03 AM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Witcher 3
Since you have advance notice of the bug use a backup save. If you don't get XP restore the backup and go do something else for a while till the patch drops.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: The Witcher 3
Regarding the Dirty Funds side quest, I had the exact same problem. It's linked to the Temerian Valuables and the Deserter Gold side quests. Best way to complete them is listed below as a spoiler (just in case) -
SpoilerInstead of typing or explaining it all, I'll post the three videos that I used in order to complete all three side quests. Do them in the order I have posted and make sure that you only loot the chest that's either in red or highlighted on your map. Do not loot any of the other chests. Make sure that once you "unlock" each quest, go into the quests menu and make it the current active objective as this makes it a lot easier to complete. Watch and follow the videos and don't loot any chests other than the main ones that are shown in the videos as once all three quests are complete, you can go back and loot all the remaining chests and whatnot.
Temerian Valuables -
Dirty Funds -
Deserter Gold -
In the Deserter Gold video, the user reads the note before making the quest his primary objective. Make the quest your primary first, exit out and then go back into your inventory to read the note. Doing this will give the objective a green checkmark as opposed to a red x.
Hope this helps you as it did for me.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Regarding the missing XP -
If your level is 5 points or more higher than the quest you won't get any XP. For example, if you're level 12 and the quest is level 5, you won't get any XP. The quest has to be within 5 levels in order to get XP from a quest that's a lower level than you. For example, if you're level 12 and the quest is level 10, you will gain XP. Hope this helps and this was taken from NeoGaf which was taken directly off a tweet from the forum project manager at CDPR.Comment

The Witcher 3
I think someone here disproved that but I could be wrong.
Edit: could be true, I don't know. I am at level 11 and just finished the Family Matters quest (level 6) and got nothing for it.Last edited by Quint75; 05-29-2015, 03:42 AM.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

Re: The Witcher 3
I know that there's an XP bug but from what I understand, in general, if you complete a quest that's five levels or more lower than you are, you won't acquire any XP. Don't know for sure 100% as im just going based on what I read that was quoted from CDPR. CDPR is working on a fix.
The Witcher 3 is an excellent game but it seems that every game gets released with numerous bugs and glitches. Funny thing is that the one that didn't have bugs and glitches (The Order: 1886) is the one that received low review scores. Guess Ready at Dawn should have added some bugs and glitches. LOL.Comment

The Witcher 3
Yeah I am going to try a different, higher level quest tomorrow and see what happens. If it's intentional, it's an odd design choice and at the very least the player should have been made aware of that going into the game.
Like many rpg players, I prefer to take care of side quests before getting too far along in the main story,. Leveling up through side quests in this game can deprive you of major XP if you do lower level main quests later on. Just would have liked to have known this going in. To be honest, I think it's a poor design choice.Last edited by Quint75; 05-29-2015, 04:01 AM.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines
