Re: The Witcher 3
Is it possible to remove and re-install a Patch for the Witcher? Trying to find out.Oh well never mind.
You can't delete already installed patches(like PS3 can), except by deleting the whole game and Re-Installing and then Canceling/Deleting the update in the Notifications.(This is where you Cancel patches/updates and no none of any type of updates or downloads can be paused unfortunately)Last edited by DGuinta1; 07-05-2015, 11:19 AM.NFL - Dallas Cowboys, MLB - NY Yankees

Re: The Witcher 3
Everything is completed except the main quest and the Collect All Cards Quest. Hopefully I get lucky with the drops from merchants to make that go by quick. After so many hours with this my only real complaint is just how bad the inventory system is.The Ohio State University

Re: The Witcher 3
Hey JareBear, I think I remember you saying you switched from ps4 to pc. Are you using a controller or mouse and keyboard?
The m+kb is feeling a little sluggish to me. Wondering which was more comfortable after playing in ps4. Anyone else on pc with input, that's appreciated tooComment

Re: The Witcher 3
I'm not really understanding this Gwent game to much..I have a few cards in my deck that hardly ever become playable for me. A couple cards I have double but rarely are both available. I'm trying to beat Roche for some card he has but every time I have a decent chance of beating him he magically has the best cards pop up. Only deck that I have with enough cards is my strongest deck and it's only a strength of 113
Edit: Ok I'm convinced there is some shadiness going on here. Lol He had 2 matching Unit cards level 8 show up right after another, I had a weather card in my hand that weakened his unit cards. I played my weather card and the very next card he pulled out was a clear weather card then another card that made his Unit cards even stronger....think I'm done playing RocheLast edited by Sinner; 07-05-2015, 07:18 PM.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: The Witcher 3
It took 156 hours of focus, dedication, and some bad-*** monster slaying to complete the main quest. Still have some witcher contracts to finish, and many areas to explore, especially all the smaller islands around Skellige. Here is how the important story points came out:
Saving Ciri
SpoilerAfter killing Eredin, I was convinced that Avelac'h had tricked me and snatched Ciri to further his own goals. Once I reached the tower, I decided to give him one last chance to explain himself. Ciri appeared, and went into the portal to stop the White Frost. I thought for sure she was dead, but then when I got the sword, I named it Swallow in her name, not knowing that I would give it to her a few moments later. Ciri quickly gained fame as the ashen haired monster hunter throughout the land.
King Radovid
SpoilerThis was one of the hardest decisions I made during the course of the game. I helped Dijkstra at first, rescuing Thaler from the rock trolls, but at the meeting in the warehouse, I had to step away from the assassination plot. I believe that Radovid was a bad man, who deserved whatever death he got, but I could not bring myself to partake in the plot. Geralt had said that he was not a kingkiller, and I although I almost changed that, I stuck with my original choice.
Emperor Emhyr
SpoilerSince the beginning of the game, I thought he was a dick, so I did not do him any favors. He ended up being killed by his own people.
Geralt's Love Life
SpoilerBy far he most important part of the game, obviously. I chose Triss over Yennefer. Personally, I think that Triss is way hotter than Yen (although Yen is very beautiful) and I think that Yen is very bossy. After I chose Triss originally, I was pleased with my choice, but once I got to Skellige, I did not know if I made the right decision. But, after finding out that a djinn had cast a spell to keep Yen and Geralt together, I knew I made the right choice.
P.S.- I did sleep with Kiera. It was awesome
This game is fantastic, and I will definitely keep playing and exploring the world, and I cannot wait until the expansions come out.GT: minibeast100

If I use the monsters deck, I try to win the first round with basic cards, surrender the second round, and use all my heroes and muster cards to overwhelm my opponent. With my Scoiatel deck, I try to bait the opponent into using some higher ranked cards, then surrender and use the cards with healer ability to revive my cards and win the last two rounds. I don't know if that helped at all, but good luck anyways.

Re: The Witcher 3
My general gwent blueprint that seemingly always works. I use the northern deck, with all clear as the leader ability. No other weather cards, no dummy cards. Plan is to get multiple spy cards right away. This will get your hand strength up pretty high, enemy will typically pass at this point because he has about 20 attack and you have little or none, now you can put in a couple of decent cards to win round one easily, and you can ultimately get those back next round because you have healer cards in your hand. Next round you go all out, put everything on the board. Last thing you play, if needed, is the all clear leader ability.
The only weakness is if you don't pull any spies, at that point try to goad him into strong playing round one, ceding it, then getting him in 2 and 3.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Might be picking this up soon as it's been awhile since I dived into an open world rpg fighting game. Its either going to be witcher 3 or Mordor. For those that have played both do you have any thoughts on what game has better replay value

Re: The Witcher 3
I use mostly the northern deck as well. My strategy is to get spies, medics, decoys in my hand along with siege engines. I use the leader card that doubles strength of siegen weapons. I have 4 heroes in my deck right now. Those are key in the strategy to negate any opponent using weather cards. I think my deck is at 145 strength.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Decoys can be great when the Cpu dumps spies on you or when you bait an opponent into overplaying their hand and you drop a round so that you can wipe the, out in the subsequent round.Comment
