Re: The Witcher 3
If you need more info, I would recommend going thru some of the last 100 or so pages of the 400+ in this thread for more info. Or just ask specific question that you need answered. Generalized "What am I in for?" can't really be answered fully.
If you fall in love with the game like I have? 300+ hours for each play thru. ( I am on my 4th now) Many mornings where 1 cup of coffee just wont do. Many afternoons of " Well I will stop when I get to Novigrad, oh wait I can upgrade my weapons. Well should I get my armour done to? Why not..Oh yeah I need to go back to Oxenfurt for that. Should only take 2 hours of so"
This is not a game of the year. This truly can be argued to be the game of a generation.Last edited by Bullit; 11-26-2016, 12:58 PM.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: The Witcher 3
Really enjoying my time in Novigrad so far. The city life and atmosphere makes for a refreshing change of pace after my previous 30 - 35 hours in Velen.
Speaking of Velen, I suppose I need to make my way back there soon and tie up any loose ends. I'm at level 13 now and I feel like I probably wouldn't enjoy those level 10ish secondary quests and witcher contracts if I came back to them completely over powered.
The only problem is that I'm going to go back for a handful of quests and before I know it I'll have spent another 20+ hours down there... Oh well, such is life playing The Witcher.
I'm still blown away at the massive scale of this map, and it's not even really the overall size, but more so the density.
Beautiful game as well, from a graphical standpoint... Some of the cut scenes are a little meh, but the in game action and scenery still has me consistently stopping to admire it.
So much so that I think I've only fast traveled a couple times in my first 40+ hours. It's almost therapeutic riding around on Roach, taking my time, admiring the lighting and other small details. I often find myself just riding Roach at the slowest speed possible in complete Witcher immersion...
Ugh man.... I could go on all day.
Great game so far.

Re: The Witcher 3
How do you tell where a foglet is when they disappear in the fog? I sometime see a thick white cloud and think that it, but most time it not. I just now realised that they make fog clones. Always thought that those where extra foglets.
Not sure why it happened the first time but that Leshen near the Dragon slayers Grotto didn't appear when I fought the Ekimmara. Instead he tried to sneak attack me as I left the cave.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
I personally used Igni to light the fog up. It almost always catches them and brings them visible.

Cast signs to find a foglet. Or wait for it to strike and counter it.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Yeah that something I barely look at, that I need to change. Does the information in the Beastiary change the more you learn about a monster, similar to characters?
Sign are insane once you get your stamina and intensity up. Didn't think it was gonna be effective on Death March but it is. Can't wait to add some alchemy into my build.Comment

Your bestiary updates occasionally. Like when you face alternate version of certain beasts. But it isn't the end all be all. Sometimes info in the bestiary is incomplete. Some enemies are weak against things the bestiary doesn't mention. Sometimes enemies are unaffected by things the bestiary says should be their weakness. This is especially true in the DLCs.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Just bumped up to this tonight.
Probably should've made the switch as soon as I made it to Novigrad. Got to the point where I felt like I had mastered my feel for combat around the same time I started picking up some decent gear.
It seems like it also forces me to use more alchemy, which is cool, because I've mostly neglected that aspect of the game until recently.
