The movement isn't clunky when you take your time. When you start running all over is when it feels like that.

I've been spending all of my gaming time alternating The Show and replaying this and I've got to say that it's getting harder and harder to enjoy the baseball. I mean, The Show is awesome, it's just that each game takes AT LEAST an hour to finish and I'm always thinking that I may rather be spending that time with Geralt. Lol!

This has been me with every other game out there, except The Show.

Bought Horizon Zero Dawn. Brilliant game. One of the best ever made. Put aside for the Witcher

Ghost Recon Wildlands, great single player shooter, put aside for the Witcher.

Shadow of Mordor, Nemesis system is amazing, put aside for the Witcher.

The list goes on and on of games that I liked, even loved that eventually got put to the side because I would rather play The Witcher.

I was surprised to see I have more than 25 hours logged in, this means it took me almost 20 to start to really appreciate the game as it deserves. Every time I heard people saying it took long hours for them to get into a game until now, I called bs. Usually, if I don't feel engaged in the first two to three hours, I just toss it. Glad The Witcher is already good enough from the beginning to have kept me playing despite de sub-averageish controls. There's so many little things and great things in this game. The scope is unthinkable. It really is masterpiece material.

It took me a long time of playing before I got really addicted too...only reason I kept trying is all people said that it was so great. Glad I did keep playing..

I also ended up putting everything else aside because The Witcher is the only thing I'm having any urge to play. I'm on Final Preparations now (what an interesting little ride with Avallac'h btw, the game always finds new ways to stay fresh). Witcher 3 is PHENOMENAL. I was skeptical during my first trip to Velen, but it was partly because I expected much much less from Novigrad and Skellige. And all my problems with the story vanished once I got perspective on how important Ciri is.

I know it's nearing the end, but I know I'll have a blast with the DLCs (almost half the lenght of this gigantic game? Man, CDPR DELIVERS!). And of course, there's the obligatory second playthrough, because I never experienced a game with so much replay value. Not even close.

May be my favourite game of all time. Definitely on the top 3.

Just as a heads up, just because you don't see a ? on the map, doesn't mean you've discovered all of the locations. You have to explore. Velen has a TON of stuff that doesn't show up until you stumble upon it.

Agreed, that's something I realized at White Orchard. There are some quests that I haven't done, because I haven't spoken to the correct NPC's so I got a little more to do there and I gotta boost Geralt up more. He's at Level 3 currently and about 70% towards getting to Level 4. Are there any other ways to boost him up the levels beyond completing quests? I've also found 5 places of power at White Orchard.

Well, you get experience points from killing enemies, too. Both human and monsters. There are weapons and trophies that when equipped give you bonus points, so that helps to raise levels quicker.

To not say I'm not having any gripes with the game, I'm hating to be overlevelled. Even skipping some secondary quests and practically all the witcher contracts (decided to keep them for a second playthrough), I'm still at LVL 31 when the main story recommends me to be at 28. I'm actively avoiding to do too many sidequests to not be OP, which is a shame, and I just feel like the game should be more challenging at this point. I'm playing at Blood and Broken Bones (hard) after starting on Story and Sword (I always play my adventure games on normal). Still a bit easy now, and I'm afraid it might get worse on the DLCs (I'm only 1 level below the recommended to start Hearts of Stone, so the current gap will probably increase).

I think turning enemy upscaling on is the obvious answer to this matter, but I read about some bugs with rats and some other enemies scaling to be much much stronger than they should (almost unbeatable) and people generally having a bad time when they had this option turned on accidentally.

TBH, I'd like the game more if it didn't have a levelling system.

                          How do you tackle this?

After doing a new game + play through you can't do a second one can you?

Would have to start a new game from scratch?

Small piece of advise but to me is kind of important.
