I thought the Bloody Baron storyline was great... it has nothing on Act II of The Witcher. This game outside of the combat is absolutely amazing. And it came out in 2009?!

I always get so excited when this thread gets bumped...still the best game I've ever played. Playthrough continuing, just finished theSpoiler"Tower of Mice" questline. Loved it. Picked the dialogue tree to bring the guy to the island, looks like that was the right call"
Perhaps I haven't played one in a while, or I'm use to the Bethesda/Bioware "top good, middle is neutral and bottom bad" dialogue trees, but I do like that in this you actually have to listen/read what is said and you can't be 100% goody two-shoes.Last edited by LambertandHam; 05-11-2019, 08:33 PM.Comment

Still enjoying the game, I'mSpoilerat Novigard, just did the costume party mission with Triss. Have a couple quests to do there close to my level then I hit the islands. I could probably be further in the game but I'm doing every ?, treasure hunt, mission, side quest, etc.Comment

I dont know, that 20 fps 240p glory kind of scared me away.
I'm guessing they will continue the "It may not run all the time or look the best, but it's on Switch now!" route.

Finished the main story last night, whew, what a ride. Really enjoyed it, the characters, quests/quest lines, especially the writing.
SpoilerI romanced Yen, I liked her a bit more compared to Triss. Yen seemed to genuinely care for Geralt but hid it behind a wall of bitchiness at times.
Killed Radovid and Dijkstra, sided with Roche and Ves. Cerys is queen of Skellige. 2/3 Crones dead, Baron took his wife to get help, trolls are bros.
Got the "Bitersweet ending" for Ciri, where she leaves to become Empress. Not let down by it either, I like the ending. Was sad to see Geralt blindsided that Ciri was leaving him, but like siding with Cerys, she'll make a good ruler. Also really enjoyed the curtain pulled back from The Wild Hunt, showing them to be elves and men, not just marauding single purpose monsters. Visiting the Elf world to meet Ge'els was a fun quest.
My only complaint is the ending felt rushed at times? The White Frost was kind of just "there" fade to black. Wild Hunt was built up and the fights were kind of cookie cutter.
Still, loved the game, currently playing Hearts of Stone than Blood and Wine.Comment
