Originally posted by PhobiaDoes this concern anyone else for 1886 The Order? It seems the big hate has been the widescreen view and isn't The Order going same route?
Developers/publishers need to stop with the "cinematic" feel because it's not a movie. I'm not watching, I'm playing. Huge difference. And also, they need to add options for stuff like this. Giving the option solves the problem even though it shouldn't be in the game to begin with which would solve the potential problem before it's an actual problem.Comment

Re: The Evil Within
I'm concerned about the wide screen aspect for The Order as well. I'm hoping that there's an option to play in wide screen or full screen. If not, I'll do what im doing with The Evil Within which is me lowering the resolution from "automatic" to 480p on the PlayStation 4 and then use the "zoom" in option on my HDTV. Doing this cut down the black bars to half a millimeter on the top and bottom of the screen.

Re: The Evil Within
I don't really have an issue with it either, the only issue I have with the camera is the fact you have no idea what's behind you it's so close to you. Fine it's true we don't have eyes in the back of our heads that's fair but give us a button to look behind like Outlast had instead of making us make a full turn to see!
Some of this just feels like cheap ways to make the game more suspenseful but it takes away from the realism.Comment

Re: The Evil Within
Just finished Chapter 6, man that was a long chapter. I really do enjoy this game and I'm glad I bought it. The difficulty is just right and the enemies are fair and challenging, except those stupid invisible ones that are incredibly cheap. That said I won't feel the need to replay it like I do with a lot of games. I'll probably beat and sell back next week.
SpoilerBiggest complaint is that it could be much creepier, there's a part at the start of chapter 6 when the screen goes completely black and you have to use your lantern to see and it was suspenseful turning every corner wondering what was going to get you. That lasted 2 seconds then you're outside again in the bright sunshine and the suspense is gone. for a horror game, it's pretty lacking on the horror. The gore is there in spades, but there's no scares whatsoever.Comment

Re: The Evil Within
-Option to play in full screen or wide screen (default)
-Option to move the camera back in order to expand the field of view
-Option to move the camera back when shooting so it doesn't feel and look like im playing a FPS.
That's my dream list.
Of course, chances are the game will be traded in Saturday for $44.00 and if they ever solve all three of those issues, I'll pick up the game again but until then, one and done will most likely be what I do with The Evil Within.Comment

Re: The Evil Within
I like the similarities to RE4. Wish I could play everyday and be able to find a way to complete chapter 3.Comment

Re: The Evil Within
I finished this game, thought it was decent but couldn't see I'd ever want to play it again so I sold it back. Thought it could have been far more suspenseful/creepy. There was only a couple of times the whole game where I felt nervous about what was around the corner waiting for me.
