Brian, there was a message right when you first signed in can pick your character. FWIW.

Ditto. This is like the second day the game has been out, not sure I understand the need for server maintenance. But I guess its needed. I had an encounter where the enemies just walked into the room and stood there waiting for me to kill them. It wasn't much fun or challenging.

got to Level 30 with some friends. we went in DZ and started running around in there. between the DZ and that last mission, got geared up in almost all Purple(using level 30 blue ACR and blue pistol)

got my first High-end loot from DZ. was a mask.

DZ has been a lot of fun so far. It's no where near as crowded as the Beta was. so far all the groups appeared to be "friendly". everyone just trying to get their own loot out.

DZ rank went up fast at the start, I was only there for an hour and already Level 17 in DZ.

Looks like Max DZ rank is at least 50? I saw gear in one of the safe houses that was for 30 normal 50 DZ rank.

I had one issue tonight, where I walked out of a parking garage in Hell's Kitchen and crossed into Clinton in the middle of the street. The second I crossed that line into Clinton, I had 6 level 16 enemies, one of them named, instantly spawn five feet in front of me. Talk about your surprise firefights. I barely had any health left by the time I sprinted back into the parking garage for cover.

Was in the middle of trying to knock out the Subway Mission on hard(**** those Cleaners btw)when the servers went down

I had the same thing happen to me. I was with two others, so we managed to handle it pretty soundly.

I've had the opposite experience in the DZ. Been killed by a group of 4 of guys higher levels with better gear every time I've tried to extract.

That happened to me and my group tonight! First time we went into DZ , we're all at Level 1, there's cpu players in their at Level 11, it was one shot and you're dead.

Yeah for me we waited until we were level 12, and just got ganged up on as two of us by a group of 4 level 14s

We actually never touched DZ until we hit level 30. So it was only level 30s in DZ. Enemies varied from 30 to 32 that we could see.

Yeah I am hoping it's just the first DZ level bracket that is like what I ran into. I know most people I play with just want to get out of there with our stuff and not kill each other.

Heads up for those who pre-ordered The Division from Best Buy.....looks like everyone who pre-ordered the game will receive 750 points instead of the normal 500. I already received the 250 bonus points and have 560 pending. The other 60 is from me renewing GCU when I picked up The Division. $15 reward cert plus 20% off The Division. For $33, can't beat that. Retail Disc FTW!!! Digital...LMAO!!!

Jesus you can get in over your head so quickly in this game.

Wandering down a street and see two cleaners standing in the middle of the road up ahead. No problem I think and unload on them. All of a sudden, I'm under a hail fire of bullets! Turns out those two cleaners were just up the road from TWO different groups, one with a named enemy. What started out as shooting two fish in a barrel turned into me scrambling for cover as 8 different enemies converged on me from both sides of the streets.

This game can seriously leave you standing there with your *** hanging out in the blink of an eye if you're not prepared.
