Ran into my first controller breaking moment last night. I committed to a mission that...unknowingly had enemies ranked about 6 levels higher than where I am currently at. Now...I understand being harder and having to bring your A game...but I think the asinine outcome almost every time is what kills me. My tactics are great but it doesnt matter...to even make it half way through this mission solo is literally something I can call a small victory considering I am going apparently against world beaters compared to my weenie self. frustrating to say the least. Missions should be locked out if you not within 2 or three...

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I may have to get in on some of this help with challenging missions from Jare and crew. I actually still have some of the OS guys on my friends list from the BF4 and GTA online days (Bolt, ef-5ive, etc.) that I often see on in this game, but I know Bolt and Jare are always in with the same "regulars" so I don't want to interfere with any of that. I haven't done any challenging missions yet because I'm simply not geared well enough to feel comfortable matchmaking with randoms on challenging. So I've been matchmaking on the daily hard challenges instead. I've also barely ventured into the dark zone at all for similar reasons. Still loving the game, but it'd definitely be nice to get into some of the challenges and DZ a bit with the right folks.
Psn is same as OS name: tribefanisu2003.
Again, I don't want to interfere with any of the regular crew that gets on together, so just whenever there may be a chance I'd love to run with some of you guys.

Guys, how do we get Jarebear on Xbox One?
Also, are either of the two golds that the advanced weapon vendor sells in the security wing worth getting?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

What Hoos said plus a few other thoughts.
We'll def run the dailies with you sometime, we have def got some of these challenges down pretty good. Russian Consulate on Challenge used to be a 3 - 3.5hr affair, now it's more along 45min.
If you think we might be in a full squad join our party chat anyways (to at least find out) or at the very least shoot us a message.
This game isn't for everyone, we're definitely some of the die hards and have no problem running dailies multiple times for/with friends.
In fact I think Jare helped a few people yesterday, he just might be The Divisions first Challenge Sherpa lol.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Just went through Russian Consulate tonight with Birdman. Holy crap. I had been through it a couple times before on normal and hard, but ******* challenging is a whole other nightmare. It had to have taken 3-4 hours at least, 3 hours for certain. It was after 4am by the time we beat it.
We actually had a pretty good group with me, Birdman and two pretty good randoms we got matchmade with. But those damn shotgunners! No matter how ready we were, firing flashbang sticky bombs, fire and regular turrets, unloading on them with everything we had, even me popping off my tactical link, Jesus it was damn near impossible to kill those bastards. Lots of falling backwards through previous areas and trying to keep as much space as possible between us and them was about the only way we were able to finally kill them.
My first few times doing it, it always took 3-4 hours. The last time 3 times I did it, including last night with 3 first timers/new 30s, were 1 hour 15, 58 minutes, and about 1 hour 30 (last nights).
There are a couple other challenge missions that can be breezed through. I think we did the rooftop one, or whatever the one with Barrett is called, in only 18 minutes two days ago.
But yeah, the key is just figuring out the pattern of each challenge mission. Once you deal with shotgun rushers the rest of the mob can be dealt with easily (typically always target the healers second). In some cases, like the power plant, where you can control where each mob spawns in the timed portion, you can have sticky bombs ready to stun the whole mob consecutively and just stonewall them right as they leave the door"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
The key to Russian consulate is just following a simple but very strict pattern. You run back and funnel/kite every time there's shotgun rushers and you push forward and entire squad focus fire on one guy at a time for everyon else in the mob. The only mob that I haven't figured out a way to get through quickly is the mob where you go down the stairs and there's 3 tanks and 2 healers plus other enemies all across the room from you, the room with one door on each side. That part is always the longest. Also, if you don't leave the last area (stay in the room with the columns, don't go out to the courtyard) and make the boss (Hornet) come to you it won't trigger his entire goon squad and you can get through that part a lot faster.

I'm getting the with my gear though.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I went full jerk today in the DZ...
Went to extract but saw another agent do it right before me. He was hiding out and I sent a pulse out which notified me of about 5 enemies. They were just sitting there not interacting with us. I went ahead and shot at one to get their attention and then ran where the guy was hiding. They all then started attacking him. When his health went down a tad I just took him out.
I would've stolen his loot but he had nothing worthwhile.
