Almost at Lvl 27 with 1 mission to go. I still have quite a few side missions, encounters, etc to do but slowly getting there...

Had an awesome night in the DZ. Threw on some XP gain gear and my buddy showed me a good XP farm around Bryant Park in the 31 zone. Right before we logged off, we also finished off a rogue in manhunt status which netted us HUGE XP.

To top it off, when we called in the extraction, we noticed two guys take cover right by where our rope was gonna drop. They had no gear to extract, so we decided to jump them and take them down before they did the same to us. We killed them and went rogue, then bolted for the subway and hid out til our timer went away. That also gave a good chunk of XP.

In all, I went from about DZ level 39 1/4 to almost 42 in about an hour and 20 minutes. Good times for sure.

I was there doing the last part of my lvl 50 grind as each kill was giving me 301XP, and we kept switching servers and breaking and reforming the group because either midtown music of the q building wouldn't spawn.

I like DZ06 because there are usually not a lot of people there even fewer rogues and there are supposed to be 5 named bosses that can be farmed. (Mid-Town Music, The Pit, Q-Building, Subway, and Cleaners right by the DZ06 West Entrance.) Also fun fact: The Pit is located at 30 Rock....
Yeah the gas station at dz1 or 2 hasnt worked since launch.

I really need to figure out how to recreate it. Theres a way and would make for some extreme fun.

Had a frustrating night, had a bunch of loot piles just disappear on me, piles that included three high end, crafted a bunch of vectors (again) and ended up with mediocre rolls (again).

FINALLY landed a high end M1A (SOCOM Version) and the talents are meh, and the underbarrel is small so I don't have lots of good stuff for it. Damn you RNG, damn you.

                  Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

Got myself up to 28 last night. After the last few weeks flurry of action I put myself in the middle of with this game, I kind of burned out a bit.

I play through all the encounters, and side missions solo, and matchplay with randoms for the main story missions. With the exception of a couple. I did two or three story missions solo, but I was over leveled for them when I did them. As I progressed, I found myself a bit underpowered so I spent some time just roaming, gathering materials, gathering loot to deconstruct or sell so I could upgrade some weapons and gear for myself so I can keep plugging along. I should jump into the DZ more, but the thought of it just annoys me, so I'm slowly building up my way, collecting loot, deconstructing, selling, buying, crafting, selling, buying. It's a vicious cycle. Primary and secondary weapons are purples, most of my gear is purple, aside from a few items, but those are at least high blues. So... the build continues.

Now that I built myself up stronger, I started jumping into some of my remaining territories and missions to get myself up to 30 now. Since I'm not a fan of the DZ area, I'm not sure what future holds for me with this game, but man... I've loved every minute of it up until this point. I know I plan to create a second character and do it all over again too, so we'll see what happens. I know for sure there's a lot of things I'll do differently with my second character though.

The Dark Zone is not what you may be thinking it is. I was like you and sort of didn't think I'd like it one bit but I spent an entire evening in there and really enjoyed it.

You are going to need to get to 30 and start to fool with daily hard and challenge missions. As the game is currently set up the best items in game (out side of maybe one DMR) can be gained from crafting through blue prints. Blue prints cost Phoenix Credits (some cost Dark Zone credits). You can gain 80 PXC a day + what you get for killing named elite bosses through out the world and the DZ. You can essentially create and craft every single piece of gear you want/need in the game.

I personally think that is an error on massive's part, but its the system we are in. So once you hit level 30 you will be chasing different things/goals in game.

The reason I don't think it's an error rob is because every time they increase the level cap, all your blueprints become old news. So they let you go off in the meantime crafting a million vectors chest pieces etc. just know all your effort will be erased eventually (much like another loot based shooter we know).

If you need help being run through some challenge missions to start gearing up a little for your adventure into the endgame I'd be happy to help.

There are a couple challenge missions I can do in less than 20 minutes now, could get you 4-5 gold items in no time

I've been in it before. I'm DZ level 7 right now, which I know is nothing. I just didn't enjoy working my tail off, especially as unequipped as I was at the time only for someone gone rogue to take me out and take my stuff. I had some good stuff, waiting to extract, fighting off swarms of cpu guys, with another agent around helping me out, next thing I know the other guy is shooting at me too, I'm toast, so is all my stuff I worked like crazy for. Just a giant waste of time IMO.

That's how I felt at the time anyways. Maybe I'll venture in again later once I hit 30, but I'm not so sure. As only a casual player at this point in my life, the desire to grind it out the way of the DZ just isn't there. Outside of the DZ I can live with it still, I can come and go as I please, and don't feel as if I've wasted time. If I had that time and desire, or was at a point in my life that I was 10 years or so ago, then heck yeah, I'd be all over it.
