Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Awesome. PM me your X1 gamertags and I'll get you guys added. I'm pretty limited on time with work, and a course I'm taking, but hopefully we can get together for a few missions here and there.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Ok guys I don't really want to be "that guy" but I have to be. I am finally in a more stable situation and can buy some games. I really enjoyed playing with Jare and Bolt and I know I would get a lot of single player time out of this, since that is what I like to do more that anything else really, I think the game play during the Beta was intense.
So is this still a pick up at this point, has too much time passed, are all the horror stories I have been reading on here and other places accurate? Has this run its course and should I just skip it and move on to other things?
Thanks and sorry for doing this.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
It's a good question.
I feel like you can still get your money's worth. Bolt, arm, and I still play regularly. Only problem is if we grouped up with you it would basically be powerleveling you as we would melt through your missions. If you're cool with that or not I dunno (I know some people like to take their time and soak in the story and whatnot)
Once you got to 30 we would be happy to run you through the challenge mode/incursion cycle of gearing up.
I'm also hoping that whatever the first expansion is is gonna be a hit and fix current issues with the endgame.
There is a lot of fun to be had in this game for sure, especially from 1-30
I just feel weird because I don't want to fully endorse a game that I can't for sure say you will get all the bang for your buck on. I think you probably will but obviously can't say for sure
I am curious to hear others thoughts and recommendations
Edit
Just know that the dark zone as it is now is not quite the experience it was back in our beta days. You may love it or you may really hate it nowLast edited by The JareBear; 05-02-2016, 05:30 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Ok so that is what I was looking for.
A couple more questions if you don't mind.
How long is the single player campaign? I am in the group that wants a story and soaking it up?
What is up with the DZ that has changed?
What DLC is in the pipe line? If I do get it should I get the seasons pass as well?
Thanks guysIn Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
It's tough, Bullit. I feel bad answering your question. Selfishly, I want as many people playing this game as possible, but realistically I would feel bad saying "yeah you GOTTA buy this" and then hearing that you feel you wasted your hard earned money a week later. Two months ago I would have said this is a home run, must buy. Now, I think....it might be a home run and it might be a dud for you.
The game really has some issues right now. I am pretty confident you will get a fun ride from 1-30. I am not sure I can promise you will enjoy the endgame after that.
Also, real quick:
No dailies again today. That's absolute garbage. Bolt was telling us he read an article that said someone figured out it had to do with the calendar and some shoddy programming issues or something like that. Unreal. So unreal.
On the flip side, thanks to the fellas for running DZ with me today. We all made progress and I got to 75 finally. I am sitting on about 310k DZ funds and was gonna buy the ACR 204 blueprint but decided to wait and see if an MP5 drops in the next restock. DZ funds accumulate SO slowly for me that I am scared to spend them. I had about 700k before the patch but I wasted a lot of them on nomad blueprints that I don't even use.
For me, this is inexcusable and shows almost an apathetic approach from the devs. This must be fixed. I haven't even heard an official response from Ubi about this. I don't see much of anything come from Ubi Massive actually, at all, now that I think about it. Hopefully they are hard at work making a great expansion that will give this community a shot in the arm it needs.Last edited by The JareBear; 05-03-2016, 04:23 AM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
You know, I'm starting to think whatever they do moving forward is possibly too little, too late. The game's player base is pretty much already left with the hardcore players only at this point. Casuals have already moved on by the looks of things.
Sunday afternoon, I thought well... I havent crafted any new weapons/gear etc, etc since the patch dropped. Lets see if I can get something with better talents than I have now. So, in that time span of what, 2-3 weeks? I've barely got enough materials to craft only a couple of gold items because the costs are so high from a materials standpoint. What a blow to the morale that is to the player. You've spent two weeks or so collecting materials, because there's not much else to do, you get 5 blue's each for dailies. So that's 15 easy a day. You've still got to struggle to have enough to craft only a few items? That doesn't make me want to come back and keep playing, that makes me say screw this. What a waste of time.
I know we've been through it a million times before in here, but that's when the realization finally hit. Even Sunday afternoon after hitting up almost every fabric and weapons parts locations on my map, still barely enough to do anything. It's so frustrating what they've done.
I know for one, I'm glad I didn't buy the season pass. I didn't because I didnt know if I'd enjoy this game based on the type of game it is. The ride through 1-30 though was awesome. Now, its just one issue after another.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
To add to previous post about crafting requirements, ARE THEY SERIOUS with requirements for specialty items? Its like 20+ of gold material for each item!!!
I was collectign materials for 2 weeks only to be able to craft 1 strikers mask. Luckily, that is all I needed bcuz it came with almost max stat boost and 2 mod slots.
I still like the concept of this game even though it boring as hell with no variety but as others have said, they need to fix most if not all of the issues sooner than later.Comment
