Completed all main missions last night with some guys from England and almost level 30. We did the final three together, I was up until 1am. Finally got some purple gear.

I have a question though - I'm sitting at $125k in cash, should I keep deconstructing or start selling?

WAIT!! You can have a shotgun instead of a pistol??

Also, I must be doing somethign wrong because I'm about the same level as you yet my health and damage is half of yours lol. I don't think my gear has talent or whatever that thing is on the side of the picture.

Yeah, there are side arms that are shotguns. I didn't get any purple drops until the final three missions last night. As far as gear, when you are looking at them and scrolling down to see what attributes they have, there will be mod slots. Some gear have them, some don't. These items are the ones that have for example, 4% more turnet health or 3.5% sticky bomb damage, some are just adding 30 more points to your electronics etc... You should have found quite a few of those items while playing.

Not sure if I have enough and should start crafting yellow mats now.

What I could craft in yellows -

Weapon Parts 77/5
Tools - 38/5
Electronics - 62/5
Fabrics - 147/5


Guess I should just start turning my blue mats into yellows?

EDIT: Bolt told me to continue to deconstruct and get those yellow mats.

Yup Bolt told you correctly and I would suggest picking up anything and everything, even whites and greens and deconstruct those too, at level 30 it's all about those yellow mats. You want to keep the credits up as well for recalibration gear and sometimes a hard to pass up item may show up at a vendor that compliments your build focus. Maybe go to a 75% deconstruct and 25% sell for now.

I tell people to sell sell sell until you have about 500k. That's the number so you can buy a high end from the securities vendor whenever he starts refreshing. After that point, deconstruct to you hearts content. I have about 1.5 million PvE credits and bought a Pakhan in the past for roughly 500k. I'm set to buy 3 HE whenever that vendor starts actually restocking.

Uhhhm, kind of does but depends on the mission and difficulty. Being able to talk is key in a lot of situations, things like "hey Kid, you have a grenade on you....MOVE (lol). It's also good for discussing alternate strategies, etc

With that said, we can try it and see how it goes. I'd say when you get to the point where you are running level 30 Challenge mode missions, a mic is a must!

Can somebody explain the two different level ranges when viewing the DZ areas? How can level 10 people even expect to accomplish anything in the DZ1 when level 30s are in there?

I had some level 30 friends invite me to their game to "level up my DZ rank" but I didn't see the point when I'm only level 18. I don't have my mic unpacked after moving this past week so I declined. But wouldn't I just be useless and die constantly if I joined them?

I'm just confused by the two different level and rank.

So skill power only helps your skills right? I have turrent and support station build but was wondering if it is porbably better to concentrate on health and dps instead of skill. Can someone confirm this?

I may have to switch my build more to concentrate on more health. I think the game will become stale once i pass those last 2 missions and I'm not really going to be too interested in grinding for better items since there will be no purporse for them apart from battling other players in dark zone.

The DZ as a whole is scaled to levels, so if you go in at 18 enemies will range from like 15-20 or whatever that tier is. That's why if you are in a group and not about the same level you end up in different DZes

It doesn't account for your DZ level from what I've seen, if that's what he was referring to.

Yeah I went into DZ 1 for the 1st time all the enemies were level 18. Needless to say I died every 2 minutes. I really couldn't kill anybody in the DZ until I got my 1st blue weapon. But even then it took an entire clip. When I got a purple weapon I was able to hold my own much better.

So I wouldn't have been able to join them anyway because of the level discrepancy? I thought I had read level 30s rogues where just mowing through the DZ 1 and 2 zones taking down low level players.

That was most likely lower geared 30's they were messing with, once you hit level 30 you are elevated to level 30 only servers. Unless there is some glitch I have not heard about, once level 30 you can not step down and enter areas where level 10's are

Has anyone else been put in a dead server? Yesterday my group was put in a dead server with another group we never seen. All the bosses where up in DZ06 which I haven't seen in other servers.

So far the weapons are balance just snipers(excluding M1A) and shotguns need a slight buff.
