Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
1) Be weary of matchmaking with randoms, some of them like to kick people from the squad when the big boss is almost dead. Yet another way of trolling people because once kicked that person does not get any of the post match loot. Just pray that you are given the team leader role each time, then you have control lol
2) As far as the challenge mode goes, some of them are much harder than others. You really need to play very cautiously, don't take any chances or be over agressive. Even with their armor down, most enemies can still drop you in a heartbeat if you try to engage them in CQC. Use choke points to your advantage, bait the enemies in to where you want to fight them, not where they want to fight. That may sound a bit cheesey but at least you have a fighting chance of winning. It's all about strategy, if one particular strategy is failing over and over, come up with something new.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
We went rogue a few times doing our Division Tech run in the DZ. once when someone tried to "bait" us into going rogue, so we just blasted him and moved on in our route. we got to manhunt a few times and mostly survived. One of us did die.
we didn't really go "agent hunting" just to kill. mostly they came at us and we wipe them out.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I've found you can ultimately get these named enemies to follow you and basically bait them into doing what you want. For Joe, I simply continued running clockwise around the corridor and hitting him with my sticky bomb and shots to the head as he came around the corners. It was a game of cat and mouse, with the mouse coming out the victor.
Rolling solo anyway, that tends to be the strategy that has worked best for me. A little hide and seek. You have to be real strategic as a lone wolf and accept that a lot of boss battles may take a while.

Hopefully my weak *** level 9 guns can keep up.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Just my two cents here...
I really like The Division. It's a great mix of some old games I love (Syphon Filter) with newer games likes Diablo and Destiny. I have plugged a ton a time in this game, even when some of the people I play the most with are getting a bit tired of it.
With that said, Challenge Mode is an awful game play option and is terribly designed. It's not that it is too hard, I can make it through with a squad. It is that, even when leveled up appropriately, I have to put 4-5 clips into a large group of enemies who can 2-3 shot me. After I clear that group, I get to do that spawn point 2-3 more times. That's awful design and is just plan not fun. Either make the enemies super tanky or increase the volume significantly, not both. Again, it's not that it is too hard. It's just boring completely emptying clip after clip into an enemy over and over.
Again, I really like this game, especially roaming the DZ. I just have very little interest in the Daily Challenge and hope it is not a sign for their concept of the raids.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Good morning guys, had a question. I'm only level 9 in the game and have a level 3 gun with a high DPS. It's higher then any primary gun I currently have because of the high DPS. I'm waiting to reach level 10 in the game so I can use a level 10 gun which is much higher DPS. Anyways, the question is when looking at guns, is the DPS the only thing I should look at? Does the level matter? Maybe I'm missing something, just don't understand why the game is telling me I should swap my low level gun to match me when it's higher DPS then the higher level guns I have run across.
Thanks!Comment

Dps is the value a gun gets for optimal use. Like every shot landing perfectly in perfect range doing perfect damage. However not every gun should be valued purely on its dps number. Different gun types should be valued differently based on situation, not on dps number. People focus mostly on dps because bigger numbers make us happier. But how a gun works, it's accuracy, its recoil, it's optimal ranges etc determine how good/powerful a gun is. So having a high number on dps isn't all that important for example if you're using an assault rifle that kicks all over and you're only landing 40% of a mag on target.Comment

Also points you to a certain type of weapon. If you have bad aim, something like a SMG is better. If you can control your shots, you probably would be more deadly with an AR.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
One thing I did on the missions when I was playing with guys that were far below me level wise is we'd scope out the area, figure out a place where we could bottleneck them basically, and then lured them in. Drop a turret, incendiary seeker mine, sticky bomb, etc. so that it unloads on them when they try to come through the narrow gap and it basically turns into shooting fish in a barrel.NFL: Bills
