We did the Powerplant in record time today, have that one solved as well now. At this point consulate is only on the I still consider a "challenge" and that's more for it just being time consuming, or at least more so than the others

We steamrolled thru it in record time indeed, solid teamwork from the entire squad.

I gotta be honest, if they implemented traditional pvp modes that are designed to be more casual and maybe bypass some of the RPG elements (so they don't require wide scale re-balances) I would definitely play them pretty often.

I don't think this is coming, though.

Smooth & Shando, it was good running with y'all even though it wasn't a very long session.

Almost feel bad for those guys running their mouths..

Yeah, me and Shando ran through it tonight with two randoms. At worst we would have maybe one or two of us go down at a time, but that was it. We sprinted through it in extremely short time.

I'd have to agree. Lincoln Tunnel is already a cakewalk, Lexington is pretty easy as well. Got the Power Plant down to a science now. Just the Consulate that still qualifies as "pain in the ***" on challenging.

Haha, yeah, that was a good time in the DZ tonight! It may not have been very long, but it was entirely entertaining!

And I still say those guys should have been thanking us. As shady as they were acting and some of the talk I was hearing on proximity chat while at that extraction point, we very easily could have dropped them before they could extract. Hell, I had my finger on the trigger the entire time, ready to unleash hell on them at the first non-friendly move.

Instead we were kind to them and didn't kill them until after they extracted their stuff! Lol. Apparently we were supposed to make an announcement first before we unloaded on them.

It still cracks me up how they chased us individually all the way up into DZ06. If they had both come together, alright, maybe they'd get lucky and manage to drop me or Shando, especially if they happened to engage us near a group of NPCs or something. But to keep coming alone and trying to take us 1 on 3, what morons. And even then it still took us killing them 2 or 3 times before they finally gave up, lol.

Any time you want to team up in the DZ, Shak, don't hesitate to message me, join my session or even invite me to yours. I'll happily join up and run the DZ with you all night long!

I'm also waiting for all that content to hit. How many new missions are releasing 1 or 2?
I agree doing the same thing over and over again is not that fun. I probably would have stopped playing as much if not for doing missions with people like JareBear, Boltman, Candyman, Hoos, etc. Doing the daily and challenge missions with them makes the game great and it never feels repetitive no matter how many times you do the same mission. Always feels new and you always look forward to the end of the mission to see if you get a new piece of gear that will be better than what you have and improve you character.

Hell, I sat there last night for at least 30 minutes trying to figure out what to buy with my phoenix credits because to increase one stat you might drop another. I wanted to buy a better pair of gold kneecaps but ended up not doing it because the pair I have has a high scavenger bonus. Ended up buying nothing because I figure there is no rush and who knows what I will pick up during the next set of daily and challenge missions.

I will look for you tonight and tomorrow man..I want to do rogue hunting damnit!! I've got a bunch of buddies on Xbox Live that are level 30 and I join their groups and they run from rogues on sight!!

A few guys I know are powerful as heck but they run from anyone, I don't get it. I mean I realize you don't want to be an idiot and attack someone if you're like solo or something but if you have a team of 4 high level guys (or maybe 3 high level and then me LOL) why in the world are you running away from a gang of 2 rogues???

Heck yeah man, we were running after the rogues last night. We went chasing a 3 man rogue group. We destroyed two of them, one managed to get away. We spent probably 5 minutes chasing him and trying to corner him. We only gave up after he and his buddies went scampering underground into the subways.

Then we decided to go wandering up to DZ06. Ran into those two guys I mentioned, they were acting shady as **** the entire time. I honestly expected one of those idiots to shoot before the extraction, but being outnumbered 3 to 2, they must not have wanted to sign their death warrants.

Then after the extraction, they were still acting shady, went running past a building right near me and Shando out into the middle of the road, and then Shak promptly unloaded on them, with me and Shando quickly joining in. They lasted mere seconds before we wiped them.

Even with a rogue timer of our own, we just ran along the streets as we continued our way up to DZ06. In fact, the only people we saw while rogue were those same two idiots coming after us one at a time.

If I'm solo, I'll run from rogues. Hell, if I'm solo, I'll run from anyone I cross paths. But in a group, it's game on! Whether we be hunting rogues, or as was the case last night, going rogue ourselves a couple times, it's war if we come across someone and they look at me the wrong way.

Haha I had the same thing happened to me but actually bought the vector blueprint and belt blueprint. Not the biggest fan of the vector though due to low ammo clip but maybe it will grow on me? I should of probably bought the ak47 blueprint as i like assault rifles more than smgs.

That russian consulate on challenging with randoms is impossible to do. Wasted like 1.5 hours with no results before going to play 2k.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one, I played with randoms for nearly 2 hours before giving up at the panic room stage..

                        Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

The challenge missions are very, emphasis on very, dependent on gear and to a slightly lesser extent tactics. Weeks ago we ran consulate on challenging and barely got past the first wave of enemies, and the next was just impossible, it was frustrating and one guy quit the game completely (we had also tried power plant with similar results).

Once you get the gear, these missions are much less of a challenge. Last night we 3 maned the power plant until about halfway through while waiting for our fourth to join. That's one thing they did a horrible job at explaining, challenging isn't just slightly harder it is a major gear check. Until you understand that, the challenge missions and the endgame in general is bull****. It's similar if you venture into dz6 the minute you hit 30. Our first time we barely saw an enemy before he was one shotting us while our bullets seemed to bounce right off of him. Now, with a couple of exceptions (**** flamethrowers and especially the sniper range flamethrower) these guys aren't so bad.

Agree about the vector. I bought the plans and am not crazy about it. I also bought the plans for the blackmarket AK and really like it. Just have to start shooting low as it pulls up.

Thinking of buying the plans for the shotgun. Sick of those shotgunners on challenge missions coming out and taking a lot of abuse before dying. I want to see if the shotguns we can get can do even a hint of the damage they do.

Hey Arm, a little trick with the Blackmarket AK (and other guns that pull up like it does), while firing, slightly pull down on the right thumbstick to compensate. It takes a little practice, but makes a huge difference! If you have the gun range open in your BoO you can practice that technique there. I use that on my M249 LMG as well and it works quite well. Those two guns hit very hard and keeping those bullets on the enemies while in full auto is a beautiful thing
