So I finally kill Rugnok the Puny aka the Orc Captain that killed me three times, and I happen to stumble almost immediately onto another Orc Captain. Towards the end of the battle Puny shows back up. I ended up killing him again, but is he going to pop back up?

I had a similar thing happen to me as well. Perhaps it is a skill that an Orc can possess?

If you don't behead them, pretty much, there's a good chance they aren't dead.

Returning captains are a pain. The higher their level the better the odds they return it seams. Doing a combat finisher and beheading them has been successful for me. Some have traits that makes that impossible to do so I have a couple that won't stay dead.

Grr. This game sounds fun but the premise is too insulting for me to pick it up. Why couldn't they just not make the main character half wraith. A simple Ranger would've done.

Also, are the enemies just orcs and uruks or are there any enemies that are from the race of men? Seeing some men of the east would be cool.

Eh but the wraith aspect adds a whole other factor with combat and story, I'm with some of the LOTR lore but it also seems to make sense in this world.

Will I still enjoy this game?

Also, I see people talking about vendetta missions. What is the benefit of doing these missions?

If you enjoyed the movies, that is the same as me, and I enjoy the game. I didn't read the books.

Been hunting a captain all night yesterday; he was able to escape twice from his fortress! Finally got him and was about to interrogate him when a random orc showed up and shot arrow in his throat and killed him. FAIL. lol

You seem about like me, I read the Hobbit and watched the movies but didn't think they were anything special.

The game however is amazing. I read somewhere their are some Easter eggs for LoTR junkies but other then that I don't think you need to know whole lot about it.

This game really isn't much of a LotR game, outside of the stuff you really have to dig for.

So I sat down to play for an hour, and 3 hours later I was still playing. I couldn't be happier with the depth of the game, and multiple strategies it requires one to employ.

10 hours of gameplay, and only 6% of the way through the story - I think I am getting my $60 worth.

Picked this up last night and oh my - this game is absolutely a must-get. This one snuck up on me and I'm sure for others as well. Not much hype when it had a street date, but this thing is a mad man.
