I can't see why this game is being hyped so much.......looks like a strange contrast on every video I have watched.
Maybe you need to be high to play it.

It's one of those deals where the basic premise of the game was enough to get gamers super fired up.

Travel through a universe of procedurally generated planets, be the first and maybe only person to discover something, take off from a planet head straight into space and warp jump across the galaxy seamlessly.

It sounds like it does all those things very well. From a first person shooter and space combat simulation aspect it sounds like people might be disappointed. From a "realistic" standpoint, well, Sean Murray himself said that this game isn't a "space simulator," and it's clear it's definitely sci-fi/fantasy oriented.

Like others have said, the game will get played 3 hours by some, for 3 days by some others, and for 3 years by some others as well.

I'm counting on the PC community to make the game as great as it possibly can be, we'll see what happens tho

I know I've seen people raving about the soundtrack, just popping in to drop this. The whole thing uploaded to youtube.

Apologies of its been posted (I wouldn't doubt it) just thought some might enjoy.

I commend you for still putting up the good fight but at this point I'm ignoring the "What is this game about?" "This looks like minecraft" "I don't see what's so great about this game" comments.

                        Re: No Man's Sky

By this time, with the massive amount of hype this game's received (good & bad) it's almost not worth explaining the game.

It's gonna be 'what's it about' which everyone by now knows exactly what it's about (at least the basics) or 'I don't get this game, seems like it would be boring'. Another post not worthy of a solid response that's informative & well thought out like Jare's.

Years of anticipation, down to 4 days.
