Wow, haven't seen anything from that movie for a while.

Any PC players looking for a otherworldy survivor game, maybe keep an eye on this new early access title. Hope it turns out good, could be a good new game for an annual LAN my friends and i have in January.

Osiris: New Dawn is an unforgiving near future space survival game with a cinematic feel and elements of horror. Play as a Mission Specialist in single or multiplayer to build your planetary base, pilotable vehicles, and controllable drones as you explore a dangerous solar system far from Earth.

I'm more just shocked we haven't heard a single thing from them in how long?

Like even if the game didn't get criticized like this, it's still smart to keep social media alive to keep gamers and push DLC in the future.

Such a shocking media silence IMO.

Silence from Murray for exactly 1 month. That's when they also stopped posting patch notes as their news updates, and posted an updates shortly after as an anon Hello Games user.

No tweets for about a month, with the only exception being linking to their 9/2 update again and the 1.09 patch notes. They stopped posting patch notes and updates to Steam on 8/16.

No interviews, comments, etc that I've seen since the initial flurry after release.

Kinda hoping for confirmation that they still intend to do some of the stuff they announced 9/2 still given the reception since (peaking at ~1500/day now on Steam after over 200k at launch, 46k negative reviews)

Their last comments did say there were hard at work to deliver more.

I think they might have actually heard the complaints and taken it to heart. Shut up and make the game promised.

                Re: No Man's Sky

As I've read more and more of the reviews and complaints about NMS, I'm increasingly happy that I tried to avoid all forms of previews once I heard about the concept. I opened the game with the expectation of a huge universe/galaxy to explore and nothing more. I'm sure that it's not perfect and it didn't suck me in for days and weeks on end. But I do find myself popping the game in with the idea of getting an hour or so in before bed...only to find myself playing for 2-3 trying to learn one more word or complete the planet that I'm on.

I'm not going to say that I love the game but it definitely has become one that I can start up and get lost in when the mood strikes. In the end, I knew I was purchasing potential and supporting a unique concept. From that perspective, I'm happy I did.

I would love to hear/see more post-release support news but, in the meantime, I'll be continuing my studies of the Vy'keen language and exploring new planets.

Hate to say it, but it's beginning to have all the signs of a game that's been abandoned.

Granted, it's still a bit early to make that assumption, but when a developer just disappears, it's never a good sign

The scam is now clear for everyone to see it, even those who initially said people were being unfair to Sean Murray.

Me too - reading all the things that were taken out of the game really ruined it for me. I was liking it, but then seeing the countless things either changed for the worse or removed completely was very disappointing.

Also the resource management system wore thin quickly - I think every planet having what you need to fly is bad, but also how quickly everything depletes really hurts the game's longevity and variety of play-styles.
