It's just crazy how quiet they've been though. That's now what blows my mind. I could get past the actual issues a bit easier if they were still communicating.

How can they defend their actions when it's complete silence?

The silence makes it feel like a scam. We all replied to a Craigslist ad and after they got our deposit for the trip, the scam artists disappeared. Classic scheme. We've been duped.

My honest opinion is that the reddit deal was kind of ridiculous. I have never seen a game so many people consider above reproach. The game deserves praise for some things and criticism for others and purging the subreddit because so many people were unhappy with the game is a clown move, imo. Just because the mods over there love the game does not mean it can't be criticized. And, no, criticism of this game is not "spewing hate" as the mods over there said.

Game has some pretty big issues. It shouldn't be taboo to discuss those issues on any forum that endorses productive discussions.

The whole deal surrounding this game has to be one of the weirdest things in gaming history. I mean it was international news when FW got the first documented early copy. Never seen that before.

Remember when any negative opinion about the game in this thread was treated like overreaction and pure hate? Gamefaqs also had to deal with this problem when people tried to make that board a huge hug box... Well, that's what happened to NMS's sub-reddit...

Well, the media did also piled on and many reviews said that certain features weren't in but was. Still, Hello Games has made their bed and needs to address much of their issues and limited gameplay. Remember, Bungie with Destiny? EA with Battlefront? Turtle Rock Studios with Evolve? They need to step up with a huge offering and throw a bone to their customers.

I didn't think my earlier comparisons to Damon Grow would become so accurate.

I've never had any plans to purchase, especially after how this all played out. This thread however has been worth every unspent penny.

IMO this has very clearly turned out to be one of the most obvious scams and examples of cash grab abandonment maybe ever. For whatever reason, some are adamantly stubborn about not wanting to admit that. There is literally ZERO excuse for a month of radio silence. None. The dev's money was made, the truth was revealed, and they laughed all the way to the bank having charged $60 for a glorified yet somehow still broken tech demo.

Did anyone even find out what was at the center of the universe?

I mean look, I haven't played a single video game in about six weeks, besides Rocket League on the toilet with my Vita. I'm just too busy of a man. I still am curious to make some progress in this game though, even if it's little by little the next two years.

I'd like some payoff for that center, though.
