Two suns (is this even in the game?), true fire planets and ice planets, I don't think those exist in the game the way I would consider a fire planet of ice planet to be. You can find planets that are hot and/or cold, for sure

The variety is severely lacking in this game considering how it marketed around 18 quin options and how every singular experiece would be unique. Right off the bat I found planets and structures on those planets that I had seen in a dozen streams or previews

I was worried about this when I was the size of the game assets pool the engine had to pull from. There's just not enough unique material
Again I disagree. The game is about exploration. It's discovering new solar systems and galaxies. This part of the game I had a great time with and enjoyed. Some planets will be similar. Some will be vastly different. When someone discovers say 20, 30, 40 planets and says that its all the same as 18 quintilian potential discoveries, I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree.

It's the stories within itself that crashed the game for me. What was the purpose of visiting the Korvax, the Vy'keen, or the Gek when there was an end point? If you entered a new galaxy, the same process repeated itself with an abrupt end. The chase for the atlas was uneventful, and from various reports a waste of time. This is the part that killed the game for me. There was no purpose other than visiting planets while everything else just broke down all around it.

I just couldn't disagree more. I feel the game failed to do what it promised it would do in a number of ways. The point of exploring, to me, is to find new things. There is usually a carrot dangling to encourage exploration in games. In this game it is just a chore and a non-unique experience IMO.

Sorry for my opinion, its just my perspective. I am glad you are getting a lot out of it. (sincerely)

No harm done JB. It's good to have good conversations. This is what the forums are for.

Take a look at some other cool discoveries.......

It's all good man. Your take is more than fair. If you find some really cool stuff post some pics on here, maybe it will motivate me to get back into the game and explore more diligently.

Nah, done with the game. Biggest let down was the space pirating. Now, I use it as a bookend for my other games.

Looks like they lost a longtime designer last month, and at some point their community manager and producer seem to have departed. Article recaps some of the other snooping players have done, including showing a seemingly-abandoned Hello Games office.

This has got to be one of the craziest things I've seen in gaming.

This is insane. I've always had hope in the back of my mind, but not after this. Oh well, this is still on the shelf saved for a rainy day when I'm bored and want to explore. Playing this with the Interstellar and Martian soundtracks in the background was such a cool experience.

Their customers hates them. The Gaming Media despises them. And now, their employees loathes them. All in a 3-month span

Never seen anything like this in the gaming industry in my life. What a disaster. I still own it. Haven't played it in ages but since it's small I have no reason to delete it.

Seriously. I mean there are games like Watch Dogs that roll back the graphics vs. E3 presentations...

This is just another level. I don't think they were malicious, just let things get out of hand.

Yeah, even with all the post release crap and the company essentially going full witness program or something, I might pick it up when it hits the $10 or less bargain bin, just to have another game to dick around in when bored.

Only way I'd ever DL it is if it becomes a freebie thru PSN. Even if it never does, I'm ok with that too.
